Someone on here had mentioned Windjammer, but I can't remember who. If I was choosing to get married at a resort, I would select Windjammer. We're going the private villa route though.

BTW, I don't think it's possible to dislike St. Lucia. It's such a beautiful place, you're going to love it!

Thanks. That's what I have been hearing.. It does make me feel better. We are also staying in St. Lucia for our Honey at Sandals. Can't wait...

Any suggestions on tours or other things about St. Lucia?? I know the windjammer does offer a few, so I will look into it.

I'm actually not going to book with Karay Media anymore because I won photography from KLK Photography and videography from Blue Skies Video on this forum (Thanks Kristi and Paul!). Had I not won the contest though, I would've booked Ray from Karay Media for photography and Chris from Down the Isle for videography. I haven't heard a bad thing about either one of them and their work is much better than a lot of what I've seen down there.

Let's see, I think we're going to do the zipline tour through the rainforest this time. I hear that's unbelieveable. When we went there in October, we went on an all-day tour that involved a catamaran ride, many of the touristy sites (Sulphur Springs, Botanical Gardens, Diamond Waterfall, etc.), swimming, and lunch at a plantation. Almost every tour operator offers it. We were on a Carnival boat, but I'm not sure if our resort (Coconut Bay) had chartered it or not.

Another thing we missed last time that we want to do this time is go to the "Jump-up." It's a street party up in Gros Islet (which is the area we're staying in) that kicks off the weekend every Friday night. Google it, you'll get tons of info. The Fish-fry in Anse la Raye (I think that's where it is), is supposed to be a bit calmer, but also lots of fun.

I'll think of more stuff, but feel free to ask. I cannot wait to go back there. It's just gorgeous. (Simply beautiful really is the perfect description.)

Also, if you don't mind my asking, are you in the NYC area?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
