Awesome Marie-Eve!

Congrats for your date, location and honeymoon venue.  Now you can start with the details...Well, I guess you are ahead of me with the shoes... It's my next step.  I am thinking something silver as well. I'll go shopping next week!

Question to all of you,

A have a question regarding cell phones...Are you asking guests to leave them in their room on the wedding day?  Or I should not ask because it will be natural for them to leave them behind?  I do not know how the cell phone range will be but I would prefer to not see any cell phone at the ceremony AND the reception. We will have teenagers guests and I do not want to see them playing games on the cell phone or surfing the web!  What do you think?

Since I am still recovering from the flu and resting in bed, I thought I'd share some wedding stuff with my fellow St. Lucia brides!!

These are my OOT bags.  I really love them! I got the bags from LL Bean --- ordered them online and got free shipping whoo hoo! Then took them to my local mall and had them embroider them. I am giving one large tote to each couple and there are two kids attending so I thought it would be cute to give them each one.  Due to the size and the money, I decided not to fill them with anything, but I did order some tags that I am going to attach to them with ribbon.

Here are the tags I am going to attach to the bags.

And here are my guest favors. I am putting them on top of each menu card at each guest's place setting at the reception. I am so happy how these turned out. These still have the original date on them, so I ordered tags with a black border and writing that have the new date and I am just going to add the new tags with the this one so both dates will be recognized.

Rest of the week

We had a great rest of the holiday. We visited the rainforest to do a bit of ziplining which was good fun and lazed around the hotel. We went to both Rodney Bay and to Castries for a bit of Tat shopping, and generally ate, drank and sunbathed.

The nights were filled with silly drinking games around the pool.

Most people left on the Tuesday with only my Dad, Stepmum and step sister remaining.

We chilled out a lot and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Our flight back was delayed which was a bummer, and we got VERY snappy with each other back at Gatwick Saturday morning but apart from that we had a great time.

So that is our St Lucia story. We did also have a reception back in the Uk, but I wont bore you with that - I know that before I went I was so hungry for St Lucia information, so I hope that I helped a bit, and that I haven't bored you or posted too many pics.

@ Lilyrose-the chart is a great idea! I'm on my iPhone right now reviewing it, so would you or one of the other brides mind editing my info for me if you see this before I get to a computer, lol. My fiancée and I are getting married on 11/12/11 and we are now booked officially at the Almond Morgan Bay! I live in the Philadelphia, PA area. -@BBSL, thank you so much for such a detailed post! It was especially good for me as me and my future hubby are using the same resort for us and our 15 guests! I'm gonna read you're review to my fiancée word for word, lol. I may have missed this, but what restaurant did you use for the reception? I may be PMing you for more insider info later!

MrsWilliams, I went from memory, you are November right?  Or did I read 11/12/11 backwards?

BBSL - great review!  Thanks!  I think I missed the month in which you got married...when was that?  Those flash showers are a bit freaky...I'm gonna wear my hair down (I'll also have extensions), with some loose curls.  I wouldn't want to get the Janis Joplin look from a torrential rain :-)

Hello to all the amazing St. Lucia brides! I've been lurking around this forum for a few months now trying to find inspiration and am finally ready to dive into this creative whirlwind of planning. Anyways, I wanted to thank you all for every word of wisdom and ideas that you have shared over the years. I've already decided on MIB for STDs and mini passports for the invitations.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
