Requirements to Confirm Wedding Date at Dreams Punta Cana

Recommended Posts

I am hoping that you ladies that have already reserved a date or gotten married at Dreams Punta Cana can help me.

I am in the process of reserving my date using the reservation form. I asked Miguelina how to go about officially confirming the date with a deposit and a contract, as the resort website says is required. She indicated that is not necessary - we are in the calendar and nothing further is required to reserve the date. This makes me very nervous! Can anyone tell me what they needed to do to reserve their date at Dreams or any issues?

Thanks so much!

There are quite a few resorts that do not require a deposit or a contract. When I originally wanted my wedding at Dreams PC, the coordinator (Miguelina's sister) had me do the same thing. We just filled out a reservation form as well and are booked in their calendar. And thats it. I was a little weary of this at first, but after hearing that others do the same, I felt much better about it. I changed my mind on the resort, but we had to do the same thing at EdenH. I just had the coordinator email me saying that my wedding was confirmed. Dont fret, you're written in their calendar :~)

Same with us, we got a confirmation number in our email when we got confirmation on the wedding day and time! You should be all set. Also, in case you didn't know if you go to the dreams website there is a forum just for dreams. Helpful information to learn more about the resort itself and some people have posted information about their weddings.

Yep, same here. When I booked with Dreams (in Cabo) they didn't need me to do anything like that either. Only when I wanted a room block did I put down a deposit and sign a lovely contract... all done through my TA.

FYI - I'm just going to move this thread to the DR section so future brides can easily find it! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
