I'd rather not bother with trying to sew organza, but I've been trying to come up with ideas for my centerpieces and table overlays. A fabric store by my house is closing and they have the perfect organza on markdown, has anyone used heat on this type of fabric? I'm not sure if it would melt or something. Also wondering if the stuff would get melty-gunky thru the organza, since it's not a tightly woven type of fabric.

Thanks for any info!

I would think you can, but you'd have to be careful on the amount - and when you iron it, put something over it - like a tea towel, pillowcase, etc. just enough to keep the direct heat off.

Can you go and buy a quarter yard just to test it?

Abbie, what kind of runners & size are you making? I was trying to decide if I wanted to do them.

I know I will be buying fabric for my arch and chair sashes. We have similar colors and my wedding is before yours...see where I'm going with this?

If I have anything you can use I'll be more than happy to pass it along.

great idea!
our tables (15 of them, plus a rectangle head table) are kind of oblong, big enough for 10 people at each. i have NO idea what size runners, i'm thinking at least 90" long, since the tables are about 60" long, and that would give some room for them to hang a bit off each side??

what kind?? well, also they dont have to be long rectangle shape, i guess i was thinking along the lines to make big squares or something i could actually just place the centerpiece on top of or something. a runner would work just swell, tho.

i'm so fried for ideas. i end up playing around on BDW instead of searching for inspiration sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
