wedding in 1 week and BM dress is too small!

Recommended Posts

Good grief! My wedding is exactly one week away and I just found out one of my BMs dress is too small now and barely zips. I told her to go get some spanx and get on a liquid diet for the next 7 days! And it's not the kind of dress that can be let out b/c it's silk and bias-cut. fryingpan.gif

When you say "can't zip it" is it just like the top inch or two of the zipper, or is it all the way down? Could she zip it up as high as it goes, pin it so the zipper doesn't slip, and tuck the loose corners in? Maybe a pashmina to cover up the back?

I would suggest to her to do something like south beach diet...cut out all carbs (rice, pasta, bread, sugar, fruits)...she can lose a significant amount in a week at least so she can get into her dress. whenever i do it, i lose a lot...but its hard to stick to. good luck

the dress zips up the side so it will be impossible to hide if its not zipped all the way. I haven't seen her in it since a few months ago- when it fit- but she says it will zip but its really really tight. I guess she gained weight in her boobs.... I bought the dresses last summer from Max and Cleo so there's no way I'll find her another one before I leave on Wednesday. Its just aggravating to find this out a few days before I leave!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
