Not sure if this should be posted here

Denise I feel for you - I know this is a really scary time. My mom went through the same thing in 2006. They found a lump, she had to go back for tons of tests - and then wait for 1 week. The wait was excruciating. The ended up going in and removing some of the tissue and it wasn't cancer.... honestly we are all thinking positive thoughts for you now. Keep yourself busy - you can always use us on the forum to help you keep your mind off of things!

Denise - Please think positively! I am so serious. I have been through negative paps, blood work - you name it! Sometimes, its nothing after a second or third test. And science and technology is so advanced now that if it is something, its probably treatable. You have such a supportive hubby.

Denise, stay positive, try not to worry too much until you have had a chance to sit down with your doctor(s) to discuss. You were being proactive in the first place to actually go for your check ups. You've got a running start which most people do not because they choose to ignore rather than know. Your doctors are being proactive too by sending you for an ultrasound. An ultrasound will give them a better look at the tissue for things like size and density if there is a lump.

I am 34 and for the past two years, I have been getting mammograms and ultrasounds every 6 months or so for some suspicious tissue. They have even done a core biopsy which did come back negative. It turns out that it is what they call a fibroadenoma. Even though it is not cancer, I have made the decision that I want it out rather than stressing (much like you are doing now). A lot of women find out they have just dense tissue like others have said before me.

My best advice, is to make sure you keep the lines of communication open with your husband. Don't go the course alone, you are partners. In my case, only my FI and one friend knows know because at the time it all started my Gram was in the last stages of cancer and my Mom was having such a hard time with it. We actually all were. I made the decision that once I knew what I was dealing with I'd tell her rather than add to her or my families stress. Having my FI to support me through it made the world of difference. And BTW, it is OK to cry believe me I did enough of it and then I made up my mind to fight regardless of what it was. You are going to be OK. smile03.gif

Oh, Denise! I'm so sorry you're going thru this! I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that it's just one of those situations others have mentioned. The doctors don't have a baseline to work with for you, so they are probably just being ultra cautious.

Keep positive thoughts, do what it takes to distract yourself. Come and vent, share your fears or whatever. We're here for you, and you are in our prayers and thoughts.

Big hugs!!

Oh wow Denise. That's so much to take in right now. I know this is incredibly scary right now, but you have a supportive family and friends (and that includes us!) to help you get through this, no matter the outcome. I can't imagine what you're feeling right now, but I just want you to know that we're here for you. We're a great sounding board and are always here to give you a pick-me-up if you need it. You will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers- I pray that they just need to investigate further to rule things out and will find nothing serious. I have many friends that are breast cancer survivors and are incredibly strong women. No matter what happens you WILL get through it...

Hang in there, keep us posted, go to your dress fitting and feel beautiful while you prepare to pledge yourself again to the love of your life :)

Denise, just stay positve. Doctors have to tell you if there is something abnormal. But abnormal doesn't mean anything bad. And even IF you do have to get your breasts removed, technology has come pretty far in that dept. A couple grand and you will have a knock out new pair wink.gif Just remember we are all here for you no matter what. Good luck! I will keep you in my prayers.

Denise, I am so sorry to hear this. Like everyone else has said...hopefully the tests come back clear. I am glad you have the support of your husband and daughter. Your husband has loved you for at least 25 years and is taking the pledge of many, many more years together! He will stand by you know matter what happens! You have to believe that.

For now, enjoy shopping for your shoes and focus on your vow renewal!

Please keep us posted! I will keep you in my prayers!

    • Another option is to find an app that allows for group talk. This Wedding Party App looks pretty neat. https://apracticalwedding.com/wedding-party-app/
    • Hi Everyone, So, I was cleaning out my closet and realized that I never sold off my extra wedding OOT bag stuff from our wonderful DW.   46 Daily Spanish for Dummies 30 Pool colored OOT fabric bags - approximately 13in x 13in. They lay flat.  I used them for our wedding and they were perfect for everything we needed to fit in each bag. There’s a slight shade variation in the group; I’m guessing some were cut from a different bolt of fabric.  They are also a little wrinkled from storage and will probably be wrinkled from shipping. I have three additional ones, but they somehow got something on them (likely toddler related). If needed, I can try to wash it out and send those as well.
    • I’m getting married in six months to my foreign girlfriend. I was advised by a friend that one of the things I need to do before saying I do is to get a prenuptial agreement. Basically it’s supposed to protect my assets and properties in case my relationship with my future wife goes down the drain. I don’t know though if this is an acceptable practice when marrying Kiev ladies. I don’t want to do it if it would be insulting on her end. I need advice on this. Please help me.
    • So we are currently looking for an all inclusive resort for the wedding. We have 60 guests and found all the Dreams resorts as options and all of them gave us a quote and discounted price since it’s off season etc. Resorts in Punta Canta gave us a reasonable price, Dominicus gave us a really good deal then La Romana Resort and Spa gave us their regular price and so hard to negotiate. Will someone tell us how special is this resort that they won’t give us a good discount when all my guests are staying in their resort for 5-8 days. We are bringing $$$ in their resort and not give us a discount?  What is so special with this resort?  Can somebody recommend a beautiful resort?
