That's exactly what Cain and I did, that boy can run forever but for me it's really hard. I think I got up to almost a mile before, so I know I can train my body to do it, but it's really hard to get started because I get those sharp pains in my side.

That's an awesome idea. I may have to copy you and try to achieve that goal as well.

I'm not a hard die runner but I also enjoy to run. I do go running about 3 times a week and love how it makes me feel. If I'm having a bad week I feel so much better when I'm done. If I'm angry or stressed out, it really makes me feel calmer after I run.

I recently started taking my hyperactive Jack Russell running with me and she loves it. She's a little 12 pound dog but she has enough energy to pull me the entire way. I can't seem to run fast enough for her. It makes her less active when we are back home too.

Last year I did my firts Sprint Triathlon and I loved it! For those of you that mentioned having past injuries that stop you from doing long runs you might want to consider Sprint Triathalons. Since your training consists of running and biking as well you are not putting as much force on the same joints and muscles as you would if you were only running. Sprint triatholons are usually about a 300 meter swim, 15 mile bike and 3 mile run. The race probably takes about 1 hr to 1 1/2 hrs so it's not too bad (as compared to a full marathon).

I'll probably sign up for a few Tri's this year so I can get in shape for the wedding cool.gif....after you do one it is easy to get addicted.

Running use to be my drug of choice. I was obsessed and was running a 6 min mile. Running got me through my divorce, the death of my father and the heartache of Nicole. I don't know what I would do without running. I have had to slow down because of a foot injury, that I need surgery on and haven't found the time to have, so now I run to blow off steam and for some time alone. I do these races called the Great Candian Running Series, in Toronto. Starts off with a 5 k in April and ends with the 1/2 marathon in Sept. They are a series of races that build you up with each race, you have your 5k, 10k, then a fun party kegger 10 mile, another light 5 k, and the final race either the half or you can just do 5 k. They are so much fun, you get to know people and it is great running down the middle of the Gardier express way in downtown T.O with people yelling and honking at you.

I'm actually one of the few people who LOVE to run!!! Everyone that I know thinks I'm insane. I usually run 35-40miles per week and I've done 7 marathons in the past 4 years. I did the NYC marathon last November and I'd say that one has to be the best one! Anyone considering doing a marathon- thats the one to do!!! But, you only get in by lottery, so, it's kinda difficult. Anyway, there are literally millions of people watching you...you feel like a celebrity...it was truly the biggest high! I would also recommend the San Diego Rock n' Roll Marathon...did that one 3 times...it's got a very cool vibe and very dependable weather (perfect for running).

I love running! Its a great feeling, and you get to see so much when you're outside. I'm lucky enough to be in Vancouver now so I can run outside pretty much year-round...it was tougher when I was in university in Ottawa where it goes down to -20 or 30. I've never been in a race, this coming April 20th will be first 10k race. I'm also training for a half marathon. I'm running aprox 10k every other day, and once a week on a Sunday I'm doing a longer run between 16-22k. I really enjoy it though! Now that I'm actually trying to lose some weight I'm adding sprints to my usual 10k and keeping my fingers crossed that in combination with the gym cardio and toning should do the trick.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
