Okay, so it's 1:12 am right now.....

So my bf sometimes snores, but tonight I'm on the verge of SMOTHERING HIM WITH A PILLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm wearing heavy-duty ear plugs (the kind he wears at work <copper smelter - we're talking serious earpugs here!!>) & I can still hear him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heeeeeelllpppp meeeee.. soooo tiredddd!

Not only is he dayshift tomorrow (meaning he gets up for work @ 4am!) but he's really sick AND it was his birthday yesterday/today (Wed) so I can't really beat him with the clock on my sidetable.. even though I'm really tempted!!!!!!!

AGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least I don't work in the morning.

Just had to get that all out! Thanks! lol

Ohhhhh I can so relate!!! We've battled this for a couple years....makes me thankful at times that I work nights during the week....then on weekends I just try and fall asleep really fast! (which of course never works!!!)

I tell ya...Our lifesaver...he knew it was getting bad, heck, he even kept the dog awake some night!!! But we finally called the sleep center. He went in for 2 different testings and now sleeps with an oxygen mask....and....better yet....I now sleep too!!! He wakes up refreshed (snoring can do serious damage on your system after a while...wasn't gettin enough oxygen in!)

Just something to think about if it's a chronic problem....AND....most insurance companies seem to cover a majority of the equipment!

Oh I get that everytime he is home and if he's really tired its worse lol

He came home for a week recently and he was in our bed only 2 nights lmao i shook him so hard he thought it was an earthquake lol

Both of my dogs snore really loud but for some reason that doesn't bother me its just when FI makes noises like a freight train and breathes on me yuk!!! lmao

So i feel your pain and the only remedy is to kick him into another room lol

My FI is an olympic class snorer.

And the most bizarre thing of all is that I sleep right thru it. And I am such a light sleeper! I actually tell people that I knew I was supposed to be with him because I can sleep thru his snoring! smile120.gif

pregnancy has made me a snorer but my DH has been terrible lately, he has started sleeping on his back (which is a very new thing) and when my mom was in town even she could hear him in another room. Plus both our dogs snore, some nights I cannot sleep at all...I feel your pain.

It's called sleep apnea.

It's not just regular snoring, it's SUPER loud and the person actually stops breathing, sometimes you can hear them fighting for air. It can be scary if you don't know what it is (and even if you do).

The oxygen mask is called a CPAP machine. Basically, it forces you to breathe. Depending on how bad you are, the tech sets it to different pressures.

The sound the CPAP makes is white noise, a little hum that isn't horrible to listen to

My father has had one since I was 5...in the 80's when they first came out. They really did look like a ventillator or smething and it was loud! Now more than 20 years later, they are SIGNIFANTLY smaller and come with humidifiers (something to do with makeing it easier to breathe).

FI had to get one. While he had a hard time dealing with having to wear it every night, I didn't think it was that bad (I'd had experience with it). Now, if he doesn't use it, he's good for nothing the next day. And he doesn't fall asleep driving anymore!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
