Other stuff in the pics include flip flops for the guys and the girls, a deck of cards, 2 koozies, 2 bottles of water with our custom labels, a beach ball, a bottle opener, 2 travel candles, a small package of tissues and a couple of games for the kids. We'll also be added a couple of beers in each and snacks, which we'll buy in Cabo.

I tried to do the iron on transfers, but I didn't like the line around the design, so I made a pocket instead. I still have to make the tags for the bags and the welcome letters.

Jess, your bags came out great. I really like the pocket idea. Your guests will be impressed.

I think almost everyday I think of a new project, but I have to draw the line somewhere. :-)

I can't believe it's almost time. Seriously, look for me around town if you go into Cabo. I know for sure we will be there Friday in the day (the girls) to do some "shopping" and what not. But really beside the wedding, nothing is set in stone.

Stephanie ~ I will certainly watch for you when we're in town. We don't have a set schedule either. Friday am I know I'm getting a massage (yay!).

Kate~ I actually cut the rectangle of muslin fabric first, cut the edges with pinking shears, washed it so that the fabric would fray a little and did the iron on transfer onto the muslin. The muslin did shrink a little. I tried to cut the iron-on paper almost exactly the same size as the fabric. I put an old towel under the fabric when I ironed the transfer on.

Next, I sewed the muslin square with the transfer onto a piece of brown fabric (which I also cut with pinking shears and washed to fray). After the two pieces were sewn together, I safety pinned them to the bag and sewed them on (the sewing was not an easy task...it took a few bags to get the process just right. I sewed the front and back together a few times and sewed the front to the handle a few times too, so make sure you have a seam ripper if you try this task).

Thanks Courtney!

Thanks. I had them done at Koozies, Custom Promotional Koozies, Personalized Wedding Coozies -Neoprene “Wetsuit Rubber” Collapsible Coolie I ordered 100 because we wanted extras. I made the design myself...well actually my brother drew our logo for us and then I designed the koozie myself. I had to go back and forth with the design department at dollar imprint about 3 times to get them the way I wanted them. Glad you like them.

Thanks Jessica! I was bummed at first that the iron on transfer directly on the bag didn't look like I had hoped it would, but the end result worked out really well. I like the pocket and plan to put our welcome letter in there. The letter will stick out so that all you can see is "Welcome" in a large font that matches the writing on the pocket.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
