Has anyone ever been to/gotten married at...

Cozumel Palace?? I saw this resort and got really excited thinking that it was everything I wanted. When I e-mailed my TA and asked her to price it for me she didn't because she told me there wasn't a beach in Cozumel. Now, I'm not sure if she mean there wasn't much of one or literally there was not one at all ... then at work today, I ran into a girl that had just gotten back from a cruise that had a stop in Cozumel and I asked her if there was a beach and she said yes! Now I'm really confused! I didn't know if anyone has ever stayed there or even at a surrounding resort that might have an opinion or any info. Thanks!

Hi! I am getting married at the Moon Palace - a sister resort of cozumel. We are getting married in a Gazebo overlooking the ocean - I've heard the beach at MP sucks but I am not too worried about it b/c they have many many pools and our wedding will be at the gazebo. Do they have a gazebo at Cozumel palace? I just figured a gazebo wouldn't be as hot since there will be shade and everything. Good Luck!

Cozumel is hit and miss on the beaches. There are a few beaches (some very, very nice) on the leeward side of the island, but anything facing open ocean is just rocks.

I called the Coz Palace, too, because I just couldn't believe they'd build a high end resort with no beach, but no. Not even a few grains of sand.

On the other hand, if you wanted to stay there, you might be able to do your ceremony somewhere else on the island (beachy) and then have the celebration back at the hotel. I'm sure the hotel's WC would be willing to help arrange things, or point you to someone who could.

I too am a HUGE fan of the Palace Resorts, and was considering Cozumel Palace for a wedding...but no beach rant.gif

From the pictures I have seen the hotel kind of sits right along some rocks and you can just jump in the ocean there and snorkel. I have heard the snorkeling there is pretty good right at the hotel if you are into that at all.

What about Aventura Spa Palace? although that one is adults only, not sure if that is an issue for you or not.

Also as a side note, I heard through the grapevine that next year they will start doing weddings at Beach Palace in Cancun which was just recently renovated!

Just a few thoughts/options...like I said I am a BIG fan of the Palace Resorts!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
