Ann, you are SO NOT a dork at all! I am dreaming of the same thing one day...

In fact, on our honeymoon week Eddie and I went to LC on the Rhythms of the Night tour and we walked over to the beach where our wedding was - it was our 2 week anniversary and our last night in PV and I was all sappy and crying and we said every time we are in PV in the future we HAVE to go to LC and stand on "our beach" and remember!

'SIGH...

On a less sappy note - I think we are planning our next trip to PV for next February/March - anyone interested in coming along?

Lindsay

wow! glad the site review was such a hit!

the sunsets there are definitely phenomenal! we didn't have a single night that wasn't spectacular! in fact, they are the entire reason why we switched from looking into sites in the Cancun/RM area to the west coast....i saw a sunset photo and decided to take our dw in a totally different direction! then i found las caletas, and the rest will be history!

Julia - Was it the guy with longer hair? Whenever I walked past him when we were at LC he would hum the wedding march! I was thinking he would be an awesome MC!

Oh my god that is a great idea. I love Sappy stuff! This one made me get tears in my eyes! Maybe a tiny bit to do with pms.gif but that is a wonderful idea that I will probably steal from you!

You have to be talking about Allan. He is the day time cruise director- I can't remember the night one's name. Oopsie. Allan was fun to talk to during the day and I would think he would be a good MC for a wedding.

Great review though. That sunset picture is to die for. I don't think I saw the sunset the day of the wedding. I didn't even notice it. We may have been eating dinner at that time. The sun didn't set as quickly as I thought it would so all that worrying about daylight was for no reason at all.

First, congrats Rachel!

Second, I think that was his name. He might make a great MC! He's got a lot of energy and charisma and he's certainly not shy! He just was not for me though.

I was trying to talk business about the wedding arrangements and get all the information and we weren't interupting anybody else and he used the power of the microphone to "Shhh!" me because he could not hear himself (we were no where near him and there is absolutely no way that was possible -- he couldn't have even heard a word we were saying, plus we were not disurbing anyone around us either or preventing them from enjoying the show). I just thought he was taking his job a little too seriously on a day trip that's supposed to be all about fun and that the entertain was supposed to be an optional way to pass the boat ride and he apparently saw it differently. It was definitely a personal thing though that we did not mesh - everybody's different! :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
