No photog rule at the Barcelo Palace

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies. I just found out about this rule. Until now the Palace has been my first choice with the Riu Palace running a far second. Not only do they have this incredulous rule, but apparently their on site photographers are crappy. Decisions decisions decisions. I really feel like I am running out of time but I am not happy with the two choices I have. any suggestions? The wedding is scheduled for Jan 17th.

Seems a lot of the hotels have this policy now. Some let you pay to bring in a photog, or maybe you could sneak one in. Its ridiculous. Our hotel has the same policy and the photos are really important to me/ However I have seen some photos from the moon palace and they were actually very nice indeed, i was shocked!

Really? This is our first choice two, but for Febraury. However, we are planning on taking a photographer from home, and paying for her stay there. Do you think that they would have anything against that?

Heather...thats actually what i am looking into doing now. What Im finding is that while there is a slight difference in price, its totally worth the extra quality that is guaranteed. I dont want to take any risks in this department... I hope the plan doesnt backfire :)

I'm getting married at the Moon Palace, Jan. 17, 2009

I've seen pics from other brides who used the resorts photog. The pics aren't horrible, but it's not the same as when you hire your own professional.

Betsy is actually there now, getting married, and using the resorts photog.

You can bring your own photog, but they can't be from Mexico. So you'd have to fly them down and put them up.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
