lol - the tough part is all of my "friends" here are really his friends. I never go out with the girls here, because "my" girls are all in MN. I think I am going to tell him that I am getting together with some of my forum friends who are all getting their pictures taken with Leigh. I think this will work for a couple reasons, 1) we will all have met this weekend, so it might be natural that you all invited me to stop by when you're getting your pictures done. 2) we have our engagement photos being taken the next day with Leigh, so this way I won't have to hide the fact that I've already met Leigh. 3) i am such a horrible liar that I'd be so afraid of saying something like "yesterday when you did this ... " or something, this way it will all make sense. Got it? lol

 

He knows I am thinking of a surprise gift for him - but I highly doubt he'd ever guess I'd do something like this.

 

I will totally share some of the photos with you all - let's just hope they turn out alright!

 

Sarah - I will call the place tomorrow and see what they say about appts. - good luck getting the day off!

I still have not found anything to wear. I tried to look this past weekend, but wasn't productive. Only 1 more weekend left. Ann, where did you say you were having your make-up done? I may want to join you, if that's ok. I probably won't be doing the wet t-shirt thing. I will have a fit if my hair gets wet hours after getting it done.

I haven't called them, but the place I am thinking of is Roots Hair Salon (http://www.rootshair.com/).

 

Ok, I just called and their makeup girl isn't there that Fri. morning (I really should have called sooner!). But I asked if she'd be willing to come to the studio to do makeup, and she said it's a possibility and she was going to have this girl (Jackie) call me. She will need to know how many girls, (has the th girl revealed herself yet?), and if we want hair and/or makeup. What do you all think? Or does anyone have a suggest for somewhere else to try?

 

I will let you know more if I hear from her, but also let me know what you're all thinking.

I think I can probably handle my hair- I don't really want anything that elaborate. The only concern I have about makeup is that Leigh said something about makeup artists taking a really long time and I don't know if time will allow for all of us to do our makeup there.

I guess Ann that you should at least make your appointment and then if Leigh thinks we can swing bringing someone in for makeup we can go ahead with it. Otherwise, I was thinking about going to the MAC counter this weekend and getting some suggestions.

I don't know who the other girl is, or if there even is still someone else...

hey gals. if you want to bring a makeup person to the studio lets plan on meeting there at about 9:30. surely someone can do all your makeup in an hour and 1/2. we will have to tell them that we have a schedule to follow. or ask them how long the think it will take.

just let me know. thanks! looking forward to it. my little wheels have been spinning. im going to come up with about 4 different backgrounds to set up and then of course what is naturally there. it will be so fun!

YAY - this is tomorrow! Hopefully nothing dramatic happens with my flight tonight and I get a nice, restful sleep. I still need to find stuff to wear - I will probably just bring a bag of stuff to choose from. And I will probably borrow - especially in the shoes area, since I don't have many options (all in storage, long story).

 

I am emailing Leigh now, but what time is everyone showing up?

Yay! I went to VS on Tuesday and bought a bunch of stuff, so I'm just bringing everything I can think of and we'll go from there! I think I'm just going to bring one pair of black heels and I'm a 7 1/2 so if they work for you Ann, you're welcome to wear them.

 

I just realized that Chicago is one hour behind Lansing (duh!), so I guess now I can leave at 6:30 (my time) instead of 5:30 - yay! I'm planning to try to arrive at 9:30 for hair and makeup (Leigh wants me there by 10).

 

I definitely hear you about the needing restful sleep. I got madated to stay at work overtime this morning since we were so busy so I worked from 7pm Wed night until noon today (17 hours straight). I slept for 3 hours this afternoon and now am trying to get stuff ready for tomorrow. I'm planning to get in bed at about 9 tonight! I look like hell right now because of the big bags under my eyes- gotta sleep them off tonight!
