Who are this Tia Flower people?

Sorry I must be a slow kid on this one! LOL smile124.gif
bump.gifAlright newbie (lol) tia flowers is the resort that ror contracts to do the arrangements. For the free package you get a bouqet for you but you can get one for your girls. I know looking at what others got it was way more than $35.

There is a couple of threads: Flowers, Photographer, Riu & Boutonnieres and corsages to look at

It depends which flowers you choose, but yes it can get very expensive. I have 8 BMs, so there is no way I want to spend $1000 on bouquets alone, so they are carrying parasols instead.

Sounds crazy, but actually those prices are pretty comparable to flower costs here too. Add wedding to anything and you automatically add at least $100 to price.

My girls are carrying parasols too, and they are putting a real touch orchid in their hair.

I am battling this issue as well. My initial response to the prices was that my girls would carry parasols and go w/o flowers. But this past week I began questioning that... and wanted them to have flowers as well.

I contacted AAs and got a quote and now don't know what to do. Their prices are defintely better than Tai at the RIU - but still significantly higher than the parasols I budgeted for. Argh... I don't know what I want to do.

I went back and forth with the flower issue for months. I have finally decided that the girls will use parasols (after an almost unanimous vote on BDW!; see this thread: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t16292). I still think I would like for them to have flowers, but I'm not letting myself change my mind again. I had $ budgeted for flowers and still have the $ to pay for them, but paying that much for 8 bouquets just seems too ridiculous to me and I won't do it.

Thanks! I spoke w/ FI and my mom last night about it all and they just told me to go w/ it as well as it is clearly what I wanted. So I think I will just email Staci today and confirm and be done w/ it!

I can't wait to see how your parasols look though: ) My future sister in law is still going to try and find some for me for photos w/ the girls!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
