Ok so now I am confused. When you do your reservation confirmation it says that the flowers for the girls is 35.00 a bouqet? Is that not true?

Who are this Tia Flower people?

Sorry I must be a slow kid on this one! LOL

Tai Flora is the florist that the RIU uses. There are a few bouquets that cost $35, but it is a limited selection. They offer a lot more bouquets at upgraded costs.

Alright newbie (lol) tia flowers is the resort that ror contracts to do the arrangements. For the free package you get a bouqet for you but you can get one for your girls. I know looking at what others got it was way more than $35.

There is a couple of threads: Flowers, Photographer, Riu & Boutonnieres and corsages to look at

Try taking a look at their website to get a few ideas of what you would like:

I looked at there website and I can't get the brochure thing to work. So your seriously telling me they charge 125.00 per girl for flower upgrades? Or is that for the entire wedding party? That sounds CRAZY!

It depends which flowers you choose, but yes it can get very expensive. I have 8 BMs, so there is no way I want to spend $1000 on bouquets alone, so they are carrying parasols instead.

Sounds crazy, but actually those prices are pretty comparable to flower costs here too. Add wedding to anything and you automatically add at least $100 to price.

My girls are carrying parasols too, and they are putting a real touch orchid in their hair.

I am battling this issue as well. My initial response to the prices was that my girls would carry parasols and go w/o flowers. But this past week I began questioning that... and wanted them to have flowers as well.

I contacted AAs and got a quote and now don't know what to do. Their prices are defintely better than Tai at the RIU - but still significantly higher than the parasols I budgeted for. Argh... I don't know what I want to do.

I went back and forth with the flower issue for months. I have finally decided that the girls will use parasols (after an almost unanimous vote on BDW!; see this thread: http://bestdestinati...om/forum/t16292). I still think I would like for them to have flowers, but I'm not letting myself change my mind again. I had $ budgeted for flowers and still have the $ to pay for them, but paying that much for 8 bouquets just seems too ridiculous to me and I won't do it.

Thanks! I spoke w/ FI and my mom last night about it all and they just told me to go w/ it as well as it is clearly what I wanted. So I think I will just email Staci today and confirm and be done w/ it!

I can't wait to see how your parasols look though: ) My future sister in law is still going to try and find some for me for photos w/ the girls!
