My husband and I were just talking and Hurricane Faye would have gone over Jamaica. Did anyone pay attention to what day it did? I think it was a tropical storm then so that helps. I am almost positive it was either Friday or Saturday. Does anyone know?? One of the reason I am asking is Bridget917 is there right now and her wedding day was Saturday the 16th. I will be very curious to see if it effected her or not. I really really hope now. That would be sooo depressing!

Hey everyone, I'm back! Not much time to post anything right at the moment (and no pictures to post yet!) but I wanted to pop in real quick!

Fortunately for us, Hurricane Fay only sent some rain our way--and it didn't start until Saturday night, probably around 9 pm...it rained hard from probably about 11pm Saturday until sometime early the next morning. By eleven o'clock Sunday morning the sun was shining again! One night of rain isn't too bad at all! And we got a beautiful rainbow! I'll post more as soon as I get a chance cheesy.gif

Welcome Heather! Your wedding is right around the corner, you must be so excited! I was married at SGOR, so I don't have specific advice for your resort, but I would just tell you to enjoy every minute. The weddings Sandals does are beautiful whether you opt for just the free wedding, or add ceremony and reception upgrades. You're going to have a wonderful time! I have to admit that I'm terribly jealous. We were these just 3 months ago, but 3 months in the real world seems like an eternity - haha!

Thanks so much! I am getting super excited. Im very easy going so I dont think anything could ruin my day. The only thing additional to the free wedding I did was piad an outside photographer to come pick us up and take us somewhere for a TTD shoot. Photography is very important to me so it was my only splurge. Congrats on your recent wedding. Im sure i'll never want to come home to the real world.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
