real touch feel more like rubber and look like live flowers. They sell them at most craft stores where the silk flowers are, they are more expensive though.

So I found this post and thought I should bump it up because I'm wondering about various hairstyles I could do. Now, I've been to Jamaica many times and it can get extremely humid year round.

I'm thinking of having a half-up half-down style if I wear a longer veil. If I decide on the birdcage veil, I'm thinking of a side ponytail style.

I need some inspirations... How are you doing your hair? Also, are you using the resort's hair/makeup staff?

I did use the resorts salon for my hair but had a friend do my makeup. I had a great experience with the resorts salon & b/c of the weather decided to wear my hair in a bun.
Take a look at these threads. They both discuss hair & have inspiration pics & past brides experiences:

Chocolate Brides: Hair Question
I wrote on the Chocolate Brides thread earlier tonight... thanks for the referral!

I think I'm leaning toward a side ponytail style and I'm figuring I will need extensions.

Hello ladies! Well, I have locks (dread locks) and I am definitely putting them up! But, I have been thinking about my make up. And I have been wondering if the make up people at Riu were any good. I am more than likely going to bring my make up with me, but I'd like for someone to make me up.
In terms of make-up, I think I'll be doing a make-up trial here at home and taking notes just in case I don't find a makeup artist. I'm more than likely going through MAC.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
