Hello everyone. We are getting married January 14th @ 3pm. We have booked 30 people at this point. We own a home based travel company and we are booking all our guests on our own. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Wow, this is pretty cool. There are a couple of you that will be down there the same time as us. Maybe we could all get together for drinks or something..*lol*.

Christenew - you have the same wedding date as me. That's exciting and you're from my area to boot (well an hour or so away). Did you have troubles booking?? I am trying to switch to this day from the 28th (that is what I orginally booked because I didn't think I could get the 22nd but it was just the time slot that wasn't available. What time slot do you have??

 

What package did you girls pick?? I have learnt a lot through another wedding site so if I can help anyone out...just fire questions.

As for Chandyln... I have emailed her to ask her about the free package but I haven't received a response as of yet (i mailed wed).

That would be fun to get together, there seems to be alot of us 'Canadian' girls getting married at the ROR, that would be fun to get together....
So far we are going with the free package, but adding a few things. I really want to add the steel drum band, but as far as anything else goes, still unsure. This destination wedding planning is awesome, you can make it as complicated or simple as you like, I really like that!

Hi everyone. We are going to be at the ROR the week of Jan.11 2009. Our wedding is booked for Jan.15 at 1pm on the beach. We booked through our TA. How exciting, looks like there is going to be quite a few fellow Canadians getting married the same week at the ROR. With all of us Canucks there, this could be the first time in history the ROR gets drank dry out of booze! lol.

We plan on using the free wedding package and just adding little extras. We want to keep it simple. Hope to see you all there!

*LoL* maybe that can be our goal... to drink the resort out of booze. That was a funny comment.

It must be a popular month due to pricing for us canadians. I know there will be quite a few of us via my group so keep an eye out for us - we will all have bubba kegs and that's how you will spot us :)

I decided to go with the free package but am wondering if maybe I should choose one of the others. I have talked to girls that have done 4000 in upgrades. Any one have comments or thoughts?

did your confirmation take longer than a week to come back?

What time slot do you have?? I didn't have any trouble booking once I had a booking number from sunquest. I also booked the first week that packages were available for 2009. I am getting married at 3. I think somewhere else I put 4, but it is 3pm.

I got all repsonses back from the riu website in less than a week. I haven't emailed Chandyln yet. My fiancee and I are doing a low key, not to expensive wedding. We are doing the free package. I am not upgrading to anything until we get there, except for maybe the dinner and reception.

Wow lots of us getting married down there!! We leave on the 10th for two weeks. With the wedding being Jan 14th @ 1:00pm. We have 46 people put their deposit down so far. Decided to go with the free wedding and do the upgrades when we get down there. Congrats to all!!

I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
