    Hello everyone,

My name is Shauna and I am planning a Caribbean wedding for March 2009. Does anyone know of any resorts that have Catholic wedding packages

Hi Shauna, welcome to the forum! I don't actually know of any resorts that have Catholic wedding packages because the Catholic church doesn't allow for weddings to be performed outside of an actual church. So you might need to find one that has a chapel. With that said, my fiance and I are getting married at Dreams Los Cabos and we are having the ceremony at a Catholic Church in San Jose del Cabo. Its about a 20min drive from the resort. Let me know if you want more info. :)

I should probably clarify that we're not doing a package. We're booking all our vendors etc.. separately, but that's an option for you. If you want to get married in Mexico near Playa del Carmen, there is a church there as well.

Hi Shauna. Welcome to the forum. I am getting married at a Catholic church in Cancun and then having a sand ceremony and reception at the Fiesta Americana Condesa. I am doing a package deal with the hotel to include everything but the church ceremony although my wedding coordinator has been very helpful with that part too. Let me know if you have any questions or want to know more.

              Hi Shauna,
Welcome and Congrats!!! I'm getting married at the Nuestra Senora del Carmen church at the Riviera Maya and am having my reception at the Barcelo Resort. I had the resort recommend me some nearby churches and I contacted them myself. There is also a company called ajuaweddings.com that assist people in arranging Catholic weddings and they provide many other services.
