Thanks! I'm going to try and buy them. I had a "veil" fitting scheduled for tomorrow but sadly- I have to host parent teacher conferences for my school so I had to reschedule- bummer. The salon where I bought my dress has veil trunk shows and you schedule your fitting during the trunk show so you can purchase your accessories while your dress is on. I won't be trying on my dress until December now ; *( but I would like to have these shoes by then. Worse case scenario- they clash and I don't wear them.  Thanks for the feedback. I am not a shoe person AT ALL. I wear the most ugly orthopedic looking clunkers to work. But these have stolen my heart.

I would try & buy them too!!!  Bummer about the veil fitting, but December will be here before you know it!!!  Definitely have your shoes by then so you can get the "full effect."  Worst case they clash and you can resell on ebay or something, but I am thinking they are going to be perfect!  Although your dress does not have polka dots, the flowers on the skirt of the it have that same pattern per say of the circles/rosette flowers...I think it flows well to the shoe.  (does that make sense?  LOL)  I so hope it works out for you - simply lovely!!!  Follow your heart!

Very cute! How simple but yet that small touch makes a big difference! Looks great!

Will you be wearing those on the beach and at your reception? I picked out wedge shoes too for the simple fact of being able to walk in the sand and not sinking down but yet wanted the height to keep my dress from dragging...and also being able to keep the same shoes on all day.

Thanks! Yes I am planning on wearing these at the beach and then during the reception. I am 5'2" and FI is 6'6", so barefoot was not an option. And I did not want to sink in the sand, so wedges it will be! I may eventually go barefoot for dancing in the sand later in the night, but that won't be till later.

Love love love the polka dots!  I think they're such a fun shoe, yet the color is classy and elegant.  Great choice!

~You should private message the person selling the shoes and tell them you plan to buy the shoes but ask if you can negotiate a price or even quote them an offer.  I have done that in the past and each time my offer has been accepted! Give it a try!! hope it works out!!

That's a great idea! I'm sure my shoes will come off eventually during the reception too! But like you...I needed height next to my FI and I just don't feel comfortable barefooted for my ceremony.

Ha. I have the opposite issue. My fiance and I are very close in height and I can't have bigger than a 2-3" heel because of my dress. Anything taller and I will tower over him. But I agree wedges are the most comfortable if you want height.

yeah... we have also joked that the best man should come out and dig a whole in the sand for him to stand in if I wanted to go barefoot, but I was beginning to worry that he might take me seriously.

I am also not too sure that the sand would be cool enough to go barefoot for the ceremony. I have told the ladies that they can be barefoot if they like, or whatever footwear they choose, so they may want to test out the sand first.

I'm fairly tall myself - 5'8" - but my FI is almost 6'4", which is good because I LOVE heels!  My dress has a gorgeous delicate lacy hem and train, and with about a 2" heel it's the perfect length - I wouldn't dream of having it altered for bare feet, although before I fell in love with my dress, that was the plan :)

I got mine from Stepsss - this isn't them exactly, but very close. They are silvery-white. I'm debating changing the jewel it came with for a jewelled starfish and maybe a delicate blue bow...

These are almost exactly the shoes I bought for the ceremony

Then for reception/rest of the week, I found a super-cute pair of white wedge flip-flops at Walmart with a cute white bow. I bought some white bridal satin fabric and pearl beads to dress them up a little more.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
