But I just stumbled upon these and couldn't resist order.  Hopefully I like them, but If not I'll just have to wear my 'Plan B' shoes. what do you think?

Taco-I love your choice in shoes as well! So glad that I can be an inspiration to someone else for once! I love shoes so these shoes make me so happy when I look at them.

My shoes are Guiseppe Zanotti and I purchased them on ZapposCouture.com. Like I said, I love shoes so I sometimes spend a ridiculous amount of money on them when they catch my eye.

I posted earlier in this thread with a picture of the shoes when I was dropping them off. They started off as an ivory satin and I was NERVOUS! They were ordered from Zappos Couture on extreme sale, originally $1100 and I got them for $475!

I live in NYC so I took the shoes to the designers showroom and asked I they dyed the shoes and they said no but referred me to a great shoe shop off 5th Ave. that's where they send all of their customers they said, so I went. I didn't have a swatch, I really winged it and was nervous as heck. I told the guys I wanted to dye the shoes, they handed me a book of samples and I picked one that wasn't too dark and crossed my fingers. It only cost me $45 and I am more than pleased! So my shoes will be my something blue I believe.

They turned out amazingly! You made the right choice. I could only imagine how nervous you were

I ended up changing my shoes...again for the 3rd time now. I ordered these shoes...They are Cherish by Pink by Paradox. These shoes are dyable but I'm keeping them white (for now...unless I change my mind again). I wanted to get a wedge platform shoe because I'll be walking down the aisle in the sand...and I also want a little height because I'm so used to wearing shoes with a heel anyways. I'm not comfortable flat footed. I also wanted a shoe that I could wear both at the ceremony in the sand and at the reception. I really didn't want to deal with adjusting my dress to fit different heights of shoes. So fingers crossed when these shoes arrive...they fit and that I absolutely love them!

Those of you that are wearing high heels...are you getting married in the sand or like in a wedding gazebo? I would love to wear high heels because there are so many HOT blingy shoes to choose from...especially the ones you guys posted here...but I'm leery of the sand..and sinking! or worse...tripping!

I'm getting married on an elevated deck overlooking the ocean, but even if I were getting marriend in the sand I would get a pair of heel for the recption (as long as the reception wasn't in the sand too).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
