Show off your shoes....

Recommended Posts

hey ladies - if anyone is struggling with having hemmed their dress to their heels and trying to decide what platform flip flops to wear, these colin stuart ones from Victoria's Secret are GREAT. they're $25 each (or 2 for $35), and although the canvas strap isn't dressy, they're like walking on soft little marshmallows. the base actually gives a bit - it's not just hard foam. I think they'll feel like paradise on the wedding day, and I'm even planning to wear them out later that night with my reception dress!

I have seen a few very similar to your inspiration shoe (see below). Maybe you could find a shoe clip or even make a clip with the flower on them if you really liked that feature on the inspiration shoes!

They are Nine West style Nancita for $49. I already have my shoes picked out, but I thought these would be great to get ready in and have handy for later on in the reception if my heels prove to win the battle with my feet!

Thanks for posting these! I was on the lookout for a wedge flop to change into.

My only concern about wearing these in the sand is that the sand might rough up the satin causing it to fray. I am wearing a satin shoe for the reception, but wedges for the ceremony in the sand to avoid this.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
