Show off your shoes....

Recommended Posts

I know this question has been asked a few times, but since I just saw that a few of you wore your heels just for getting ready/photos and then sandals the rest of the time, did you have your dress hemmed to your heels or your sandals?

The way my dress is, I won't have the option for a front bustle like some other dress do (which would have been awesome!) so I'm trying to decide what to do.  I have heels that are 4.5" tall and I know that I won't be able to wear them for the whole day and I want to be barefoot for the ceremony, BUT I do want pictures with my dress and heels...lol..

What are all of you doing?

I knew I would only be wearing my heels (approx 3") for some getting ready and picture shots where I would be "holding up" my dress for the most part so the hem truly wouldnt matter... I would want the shoes to show, thats why I am holding it up.  So when I explained this at the salon we opted to hem to my flats, my dress is ruffled through the front and actually when I put on the heels it really isnt that bad, for me it doesnt matter as I wont be wearing them to "walk" or anything lol but it does work still! Just my experience!!

GOOD LUCK :)

I have looked at these shoes online many, MANY times...I think they're so perfect!  But how did you find the width?  I ordered a different pair of BM's last summer and they were so narrow I had to send them back : (

I ordered them in cream, and they match perfectly with my champagne-colored dress. I can't wait to wear them!

I was a little nervous about the width, because I had heard BM runs narrow. But they're a perfect fit, and they're more comfortable than I was expecting. I really wanted a wedge since I need some height and we're getting married on sand. I love them!

I hemmed my dress for my sandals too, because I did not plan to walk in them and just have them for pictures

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
