Show off your shoes....

Recommended Posts

I bought my shoes off Davids Bridal, I loved the way they looked until I put them on, I dont know if it was that they were slightly too big in length but there was this huge gap between my foot and the side strap, hard to explain but i was really disapointed, and to add to the disapointment, I had to pay for the shipping to return them, in the end its cost me atleast $40 to basically try on a pair of shoes and say I didnt like them.   Coloriffics Pandora, it would have matched my dress perfectly.  and I couldnt ask for a half size smaller, pay for the shipping of the replacement pair and pay to send the other ones back.  So here is a lesson for myself,  dont order shoes online unless return shipping is paid.  Anyone know of a Canadian friendly website for shoe shopping? I have not taken them to the beach yet to see if they work, because it's been rainy. But I don't think I will keep them confused.gif

I bought, well ordered, my shoes last night!!! And for a steal at $99!  I am crossing my fingers that they fit when they arrive.

Question... what is everyone doing about dress length?

I bought my shoes, but didn't really think about it until after I ordered them.

The heels are 41/2 inches... so if when I switch to sandals, my dress will be dragging on the floor...  i'm sure I'm not the first bride to buy heels and switch to flats... so I'm looking to see how this worked out for others...

anyone have any experience with getting heels shortned?

thanks!

Are those the groom sandals (flat ones)?  I think I want those to, have you been able to find them recently?

I am hemming to just longer than my flat sandals.  I only plan to wear my heels for a few pictures and be holding up my dress to show off the heels anyways so I chose to go that way.  I think I gave my seamstress a heart attack as she was so confused by the two lengths and really worried about what to do!

These are actually new are are available for pre-order.  If I were to order them today they wouldn't ship out till the end of November they are called Glaare.  Here is the link:  http://www.stevemadden.com/Item.aspx?id=61717&np=127_282-710_390.  I saw the Grooom ones too but I think the crystals/rhinestones on Glaare have a more "jewelry" like pattern.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
