Show off your shoes....

Cute!  I like the little bit of sparkle :)  Did you buy them as is, or dye them and everything yourself?

I'm actually having the same kind of problem...I bought some flats that I LOVE for my beach wedding, but I had to return them because I have to get something with an inch heel so I don't step on my dress.  It's driving me nuts, because it is SO HARD to find cute shoes with only an inch heel or wedge on them.  I'd like to just buy some shoes and not have to dye them or add shoe clips or anything myself, but I feel like I've looked everywhere and I haven't found anything that I love...and I really don't want to have to settle on something unless I'm absolutely sure that I have no other options.  *Sigh*  We'll see!

I feel your pain! I had such a hard time finding another pair that I liked. I had to get these dyed, as well they originally had diffrent flowers attached that dyed HORRIBLY so I had to buy a pair of shoe clips from etsy and remove the ones that were already on. What a process :(

I purchased your same Badgley Mischka shoes for my wedding on May 28th, 2011.  They are so cute and I am just hoping they will be comfortable! These shoes ran big on me and I had to order a half size down....Did you run into the same problem. I am just really hoping they are comfortable and started wearing them aroung the house. :) What color is your dress?  My dress is ivory and I am hoping that the white shoe will go with it onces my dress comes in!

I am trying to figure out what shoe to wear for my beach ceremony and was worried that if I wore flats that my dress would be too long. Are you concerned about that?  I was thinking that I needed to get wedges the same height has the Badgley's so the dress would not be too long but I would love to hear flats if I could.

Thanks!

That's my justification. msnwink.gif The other justification is that my shoe size is always out. So, once I find a shoe I like, I have to jump on it. I've had several "*&^&^%# Missed my chance!!!" moments. Initially, I lusted after a gorgeous, but very expensive pair of jelly flip flops. But, after thinking things over, I just couldn't justify spending that much money on a pair of jellies when that money could go toward buying two pairs of nice shoes for the cost of one. Plus, hubby is our only source of income right now. I'm studying for the bar exam. (*&&^%$#*^%$#mad.gifBangHead.gif) So... who knows, maybe down the line, I'll end up with different shoes (as I am always looking at shoes). But for now, here are my shoes for the DW dinner and beach ceremony.

@Melfaybik Hiya bride! :) Both my Badgley Mischka and DVF shoes (along with about three other pairs) should be coming in today. So, I'll try 'em on and give them a go. I've read a ton of reviews about them being comfy. Also, I ordered a half size down because the online reviews mentioned the shoes run a tad on the large side. Once they come in and are on my feet, I'll update this post for ya on how I feel about them in person and on the toesies. And, I am torn between ivory or white dress, actually. I haven't ordered it yet because I have about 6 more months to get into perfect shape, but I know what dress I'm getting. Just a matter of which color. I am leaning more toward ivory, so hoping that a very very light ivory and the white will do fine together. I buy all the shoes first bc of the limited number in my size.

As for the height difference in heels/shoes and the dress, I am going to just wear the DVF flip flops. The aisle @ MP will have a runner so I won't be dragging the dress on the sand for any lengthy period of time, and to be honest, I'm just not as concerned about the dress height anymore. I *was* concerned about it, then thought, "Oh, whatever!" lol I'll have the pretty shoes for the pics and all that jazz, and I'd rather have the dress a little long for 30 mins during my ceremony, than high water short for the rest of the pics/day and unable to wear heels. Plus, FI is about a foot taller than I am, so I always prefer to be in heels around him. Hope this helps!! It was just more comfortable for me to do it this way. I've seen some GREAT wedge flip flops, I just wanted flat flip flops though.

Hi Melissa! (sorry didn't realize you posted your name at the end earlier) lol

Well, the shoes just got here. I had to chase down the mailman for the package, too! I looooves 'em! Going down a half-size was definitely the right choice. Any bigger and they'd be slipping off my feet for sure. Looks beautiful, can't wait to wear them! Another bride commented on a thread I started that it's the same shoe she wore for her wedding and she loved them, too!

@ Hutchets, sorry, who's sandals are you talking about?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
