Venting about my OOT bags

Recommended Posts

I think your bags look great, I would be more than happy to receive one. I'm always the one that never ever brings a bag to put my stuff in.

I actually think the colours look okay, slighty different from the colour you showed them with, but unless you put them with the dressess, no-one will realise the difference. As everyone has said, spend the money on something else and give your FI a great big kiss for being so nice and understanding :-)

the dresses are actually brown :). it is more that the other stuff i was going to put in there doesn't go anymore. oh well. i guess i'm a freak. thanks you guys for being sweet and i will hopefully learn to live with them. if i can't within a few days, maybe i'll splurge. i'm not sure what i'd do with the rest - maybe give them to all the friends who couldn't make it to the wedding?

I think your bags look very nice and would be loved by your guests.

I am going against the grain on this...

If you don't like them, I say change them. In your mind you had a different vision. If you have it in your budget then go for it.

Ok, here's my 2 cents and honestly, I think it will mean a lot coming from me. When I read your first thread, my inital reaction was "Oh DEFINITELY, YES have them re-done!!!" If my colors were off, I would DEFINITELY spend the money to get them right. I know, I'm just as crazy as you.

HOWEVER, after seeing the pics of your bags, I retract that statement. I know those colors aren't exact, but they are definitely in the same family and honestly, that's all that matters. If you had yellow and purple - hell YES, get new ones. But here, they look FANTASTIC!!! Not to mention, NO ONE is going to hold up your bag against the other items in you wedding to make sure that the colors match. The colors are SOOOO close, really. They're beautiful.

Check this off your To-Do list and move on to the next project. Ok?

NYJen - thank you. If I did redo them, I'd do a one color version, as I think that maybe they are less jarring (like Sarah's red cabo design). But maybe I'll get used to this and I appreciate your opinion. Again, I think I need to sleep on it b/c everything is worse until you sleep on it (of course - w/o much sleep on a 5 hour flight, it may be worse tomorrow!)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
