I think the beaches there were beautiful and dreams is a smaller resort, so there really isn't a need for miles of beach.
Jilly,

Were the beaches in the area you went for your honeymoon affected?

Not anymore than excellence is.

There are a lot of dreams brides on this forum, since it was started by a dreams cabo bride, so it's not that dreams is a wedding "factory", it's that they do a really great job with their weddings, that's why all of us chose them. For the most part dreams just does one wedding per day.

Yes, we went to EL Dorado Royale for our honeymoon, I'm sure you've probably seen pictures of the huge sandbags, but there is still a beach, it's just not as pretty to look at.

I can respect that. Since we're on the "dreams" subject though, how many of those brides do you think take the overall quality of the resort into consideration?

There are lots of beautiful resorts in many different areas. I didn't choose to get married at dreams because it was "the" place to have a wedding, there were lots of reasons why I chose it, as I'm sure there are lots of reasons why you chose your resort. Do you have an issue with the "quality" of dreams? Have you been there? If you haven't been there then I don't think it's fair for you to pass judgement and criticize people that have been there and were very happy with it.

Trust me, I'm not criticizing anybody for choosing their resorts. I made a comment based on what I've seen but as soon as someone else points out that I'm wrong, I'm open to what they have to say, much like the beach comment. I never claimed that I knew everything about anything. But anyway, I've seen some recent photos of Dreams rooms and they didn't look very promising. If someone else comes forward with different photos, then I'm open to changing my opinion. Again though, not criticizing, just asking a few questions.

regarding dreams: they are good at what they do so people go to them.

you have offended a few people by your remarks and i can understand that things can be misread on the web but you may want to re-read some of your comments before you post them.

If I offended anyone then I'm sorry but I don't feel like I came right out and said "dreams sucks", because I honestly don't feel that way. I've just been objective about them, given what I've seen. I guess I was in the wrong to suggest that Dreams could be a "wedding factory", I've just seen so many people on here suggest or talk about them. So yeah, they must be doing something right if some many people are flocking to them. Anyway, moving on.....

Have you actually seen, in person, the rooms at dreams? A few pictures on the net doesn't give a full representation of the resort and their "quality". As the others stated, we have many dreams brides on this forum and off hand I can't think of anyone that complained about the "quality" of the resort. In fact many return to Dreams for a vacation after their wedding, so IMO it can't be that bad.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
