wow i just read this and came to the realization i'm not nearly the good human being i'd like to believe i am ... i know that i would be devastated and stressed, but admittedly, i'd be selfishly most upset over having to make changes to my trivial (in the grand scheme of things) wedding plans. the fact that you're feeling so much compassion for the others affected by this speaks very highly of your character.

good things happen to good people, and i have no doubt everything will work out for you. best wishes.

looks like i should have read the whole thread before responding! congratulations on your beautiful new venue ... i just KNEW things would work out for you.

others have offered, but if you need it, i too would be happy to offer help, specifically with any graphics you might need to redo (i'm a graphic designer. oh, and for free of course ... we could all use some good karma, ya know?). wink.gif

i know this is late but if you read this.....there is actually another hotel in molokai that is just as beautiful. wished you were informed of that hotel. its called hotel molokai and it was redone this year. you could have had a much cheaper wedding there out by the pool by the seaside with unbelieveabl catering. You can ask anything you want! I wish I saw your thread last March. But it sounds like you got everything together!!! Great job!!! Kona sounds fun!

Holy moly! That's terrible news so close to your wedding. It's fortunate that are being so accommodating to the situation. As horrible as it is for you individually, I can only imagine what all the employees are going through. That's just an awful situation.

I'm glad that everything is working out for you, though. See, it's because you had the decency to be compassionate to the people living and working there before yourself. Everything happens for a reason and it seems that you have some good karma. wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
