Oh my goodness! You seem so calm (at least in your post) about this!

I think I would have lost it!

I am so sorry to hear this news!

That is good that they are returning all of the $$.

There has to be a silver lining ...

We are here for you Alyssa!

Kudos to you Alyssa for staying calm and for being so considerate of all those poor people who will be affected.

The good news is that your getting your money back. Now if you can get a good deal on a new place everything will be okay. You have the photogs in place so that's not a problem. I will absolutely 100% help you make phone calls, stalk people, whatever you need.

I am not the craftiest person in the world but I can help you re-do your logos for the OOT bags. The thing that really sucks is your invites but people understand. Things happen and the good news is that you still have close to 5 months to re-do whatever needs to be redone.

I know that together with everyone's help we will have this whole thing sorted out for you in no time!

Don't worry you will have an amazing wedding, BDW wouldn't let you have it any other way!

Ohhh Alyssa I am so sorry, I just looked at your location and was so impressed with it. Thank god you deal with stress well, for some people this would do them in. I am sorry about all of the stuff that is wasted, that would be really upsetting since the costs add up so quickly. Alyssa I know you will be able to pull this off and come up with a great alternative location, I hope your guests deal with the news as well as you guys are, good luck and I anxiously await news of your new venue:)

Alyssa, that is terrible news. I also feel so bad for all the people who work there, that is going to cause a lot of problems for the locals.

Thank God you are all getting your deposits back. I bet the next place you find will be even better and even more perfect and it will be a blessing in disguise.

As for changing all your stuff, everyone knows what happened and no one will be bothered by the fact that some of the details have changed and your stuff will be more unique because the place will not exist anymore (depending on your details of course).

My fingers are crossed and I am hoping you find something really really soon, I know the perfect place is out there for you.

Wow. That really stinks big time! I remember when you first picked that resort. I thought it was so beautiful. That's really sad that they are closing. I mean, it's terrible for you, but you have time. You'll find another beautiful place to get married. You are also a very calm bride so I think you'll be fine.

But it's really sad for the poor families and economy of that island. How terrible.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
