I hired a cleaning lady!

Oh Leia, you're so lucky!! Eric & I discuss this at least once every couple months. We both work hard all week so neither one of us wants to spend part of the weekend cleaning. I HATE cleaning our hardwood floors, so he does the floors but i have to do the bathrooms. I HATE doing them slightly less than the floors. I tell him we'd have less arguments because house cleaning is one of the only things we tend to nag each other about. I would spend the money in a heartbeat, just don't know how to start looking. My friend loves hers but she's booked and doesn't take new clients. Another friend lives in LA so too far for her lady to come to where we are in OC. Guess I just worry about finding someone that does a good job, is reliable and trustworthy. So...I guess if anyone ever comes across a good one in north OC, let me know :-)

I first hired a cleaning lady when I started working after grad school. I will NEVER live without one again. I'm really clean, but I HATE the heavy cleaning - the bathrooms, the oven, the windows. I'd rather hand over whatever it costs to have someone else do it.

By the way - my housekeeper in NYC is FANTASTIC and affordable. If anyone wants her info, PM me.

Also, Abbie - my mom has a housekeeper in Seattle that she swears by. I can get you her info if you'd like it.

I always said I would never get a cleaning lady because I can clean myself. But with my recent back surgery we decided to hire one because I cant bend over and I am a clean freak so I would be wanting to clean. Let me tell you I love having the cleaning lady. It is $65 for every two weeks for about 1400sf. It is so worth not having the stress of cleaning!!! Now I can just do a touch up when need be. I would reccommend this to everyone!! We all deserve it!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
