Sent Out AHR Invitations and Inviting Special (?) Guests

Recommended Posts

My FI took our AHR reception invitations to the post office on Friday and some people received them on Saturday! The guy at the post office even had to hand stamp them and they still arrived in people's mailboxes on Saturday. Anyway, my FI took some more to a different post office today and the clerk there charged him an additional $.17/envelope to hand stamp them (they already had a $.57 stamp on them - which you can get the "Love" stamps in $.57 stamps). Also, thought you might get a kick out of who else we invited.......I didn't realize you could do that, so when I found out you could, I figured why not? :-) I heard they don't show up (obviously), but you can get a little plaque or a letter congratulating you.....

Haha! that is hillarious!

I don't know how I did it, but I ended up getting a "welcome to the world" or some sort of little postcard from President Clinton when my daughter was born. I'll have to see if I can find it and post a pic.

I want to send an invite to the president of Mexico!

Let us know if you do Maura and what you get back.

Ahhh!!! I didn't even think to send it to the president of Mexico! that's awesome! as for other pictures of the invites, i took a bunch of (trying to be) artistic photos of them this weekend, but got frustrated w/ shutterful b/c it was so slow and wouldn't load. so, i think i at least have them on my computer at home, so i will try to load pics tonight.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
