Paying deposits in advance?

i like the idea of paying now and not being tempted to spend that money on anything else wedding related. i tend to spend a lot of $$ and have really expensive taste and keep coming up with more and more things we should
buy for the wedding. but i am scared that i will regret paying in advance - i am not even sure why?
what do you all think?

I say pay it now and get it off your mind.

However, my FI is the same way and we paid our deposits well before they were due. He just likes to get it out of the way. One less thing to think about.

I would lose all my money! (I know I always worry about totally stupid things because like this because our contracts say things like "except in the event of acts of God blah-blah-blah" so of course I freak out about it.)

BUT- it would be nice to just do it and add another "check-check" to the long-ass list of To-Do's!
