Aww. Brittney PLEASE don't feel bad. This is no failure on your part. In fact, you should consider it a point of pride that you choose your friends carefully and don't call just any old body a girlfriend. I'm the same way, and to be honest, it used to bother me too! But the older I get, the more I'm learning that its quality and not quantity. I've had some people bail on me and sort of stab me in the back....people I would have thought would be down for me through anything. Turns out, they weren't. Made me feel bad to realize I only had one truly good friend a couple years ago. Now, that circle is expanding, but I'm in my 30's and its taken all that time to get to this point.

Again, don't feel bad and don't blame yourself for HER shortcomings. There's nothing wrong with being settled at 24, in fact ,I think thats the perfect age to slow the hell down and stop behaving like a full time party major. I feel sorry for the people I see going out every Friday night knowing they are the "oldest" people in the bar. hahahaha. Nothing wrong with going out, but its not a long term lifestyle and some people just don't get it til they are way older than they should be.

You enjoy your family as your bridal party. I wouldn't give this chick another thought beyond telling her "Nevermind, sorry to have bothered you."

I am much more settled. A big reason why I wanted her to be a BM is that she is the only girl that I have had a long term friendship with. My other BMs are all family. It's really making me feel like I have failed in the female friend department with all of this going on.
You should not feel that way at all! People change as they get older, and weddings always seem to open people's eyes about who true friends are.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
