Anyone have any suggestions? My dad is helping us out financially - my mom has absolutely no money and they're not on the best of terms. Should we word the invites not to include parents at all? I don't want my dad to feel slighted but I am afraid that mentioning him would hurt my mom...

Both our parents are divorced.. and all have individually helped us out financially. I think we are going to go with "together with their parents"

I worded the announcements with my parents names too close together and they had issues with it. I want to be respectful, but I think divorced parents also need to just suck it up a little. I would probably ask my parents what they wanted if you're not sure. I actually did ask them and they didn't know how I should word it, so we picked what I thought was respectful and they still had issue. You can't always win.

my parents are not financially helping at all, and i have no relationship with my mom. my FI's generous parents are paying for everything, but its tradition in mexico to but both sets of parents names on the invitation, no matter who is paying. so our invitations in spanish say his parents' names and my dad and stepmom's names. our invites in english are going to people in my mom's side of the family, and for that reason, we decided to use "together with their parents"

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
