Me too. We don't use 'vos' where I am from. Sorry I am late on this... way too many posts to keep up on these days!

I used this site:
AltaVista - Babel Fish Translation

I think its correct?? Maybe someone can verify.
Just for future reference, AltaVista and every other online "translator" I have ever come across is never correct. The reason why is because it literally translates whatever you put in, so it translates each individual word without accounting for grammar or context.

Paula and I speak the same kind of Mexican Spanish. She's right, vos is not used often, if even ever. I can tell you 100% that I have never used vos, not even when speaking to relatives of my FI's who live in Spain. Other friends of mine in other places around Mexico also do not use vos. If i remember correctly, you're part Cuban? I'm not sure if they use it there or not huh.gif But gramatically, the second one is much more correct, no matter what Spanish speaking country you (or your relatives) are from.

"Vos" is used only in a few LA countries - Honduras (yeah!), El Salvador, and Argentina.. to name a few!

I've been living in MX for 3 years now and had such a hard time using 'tú' when I first got here! My immediate reaction was to use 'usted' when addressing a stranger and I still do.. I've changed to 'vos' recently but only because I know everyone now... I still can't use 'tu', it feels odd! you know what I mean? like you guys using 'vos'... smile29.gif
