Oh this thread is funny! I don't have any great stories off the top of my head and certainly none that could top Rachelle's or Abbie's, but I will try to think of some...

about 2 weeks ago at work, i had a pt who was found unresponsive at home. He finally woke up (12 hours later) and decided that he wanted to leave the hospital. Since the medics cut his clothes off of him on the scene, he had nothing to wear (it was 1230 at night!). He did not want to wait for anyone to bring him in clothes so he just started to leave with a blanket over his shoulders like a cape, totally commando. He did have on man socks, you know the kind that go almost up to your knees. He tried to hit me when i asked him to stop, so I stopped chasing him. He got pretty far outside before security caught him. It was 20 degrees that night, he did not care that he could have gotten hypothermia, he was more concerned with getting home.
these are the kind of nights that make me love/hate my job. it makes the time go fast!

I get weirdos ALL the time. I work in the claims/arbitration dept of a home warranty company. I have to try to make sure the homeowners dont sue the builder and help out with that process when they DO want to.
Well one guy was SO mad at how the builder built his house and wrote us this TWELVE page letter (TYPED) about how the builder ruined his life and his love life and blamed them for the disintegration of his relationship with his lady love. haha. He went on and on about how with each broken tile in his home, was like a piece of his heart breaking and that was the reason why his woman left him.
          It was soooooooooooo crazy!

I haven't had any since I started working at the library, but I worked in customer service for twelve years and completely lost faith in the intelligence of the human race in that time.

While I was working at a coffee shop, I had a customer tell one of my coworkers she was a F***ing idiot because the eclair she was going to order got sold before she could order it.

While I was working at a bookstore, a man threw an item he had bought and was trying to return at my coworker's face because she wouldn't take it back (it had been removed from it's packaging, didn't have all the pieces, and was past the return policy).

At this same bookstore, I was putting some books back on the shelves and came upon two kids (they couldn't have been older than thirteen) in the middle of a blowjob.

Bookstore again, I went to the bathroom and found two people in one of the stalls doing...um...stuff.

Final bookstore story (although there are many), and probably my favourite: I had only been working there for a week or so, and was walking up the main aisle tidying the display tables. I was straightening a pile of books, when out of the corner of my eye I see a bare bum...seriously, I kid you not. A group of boys (who were obviously stoned) were walking up the main aisle, one of them with his pants down past his knees, the others videotaping his actions...and this was maybe two weeks before Christmas, so the store was PACKED.

Oh the fun of customer service...

            I second that!

And also, it just goes to show that us bookies are not all that boring Apparently a book store is the place to be for exciting action!

I totally relate to this one...I used to work at a Starbucks and had this happen a couple times. Like, what I am supposed to do?! NOT sell a bagel to someone because MAYBE someone else 5 people back in the line might decide they want it?! And they get SO mad when stuff like this happens!

I had a good one the other day....totally pissed me off!
This old lady calls in to ask a very simple question about a feature on her car. I start to explain it to her. She totally cuts me off and says that she wants to speak w/ someone in service about this, not me. I explain that I AM in service and can help her. She interrupts me again - this time like a decibel short of yelling - and says that she does not want to speak to me, she wants to speak to "a MAN who actually knows what they're talking about!!!!" omg...there is no quicker way to piss me off. I put her on hold and found a guy to talk to her...but damn, it sucked SO bad.

Ok, just reading this makes my blood boil!! What a biznatch!

There are some really great stories here ladies! I know I have some customer service horrors in my past that stopped me from ever wanting to service customer ever again...but I think I wiped them out of memory!
