My sister did a recipe box for me as well, I think it's a great idea.

Another thing I've done in the past as a BM that I think is good is buying the bride her TY notes and giving them to her with the addresses of the shower guests already written on the envelopes. It makes it soooo much easier to do TY notes when the cards are all ready to go.

That IS a great idea to address the TY notes and would have been very helpful. Next time. wink.gif

Keep in mind, that I told my BMs that I wanted NO GAMES at my shower. Well, they completely ignored me...

They asked my FI 25 questions about himself, i.e. his first pet, his favorite color, etc. Then I had to answer the same questions. I only got like 8 right because Mike likes to joke around and had fun answering their questions...for example: "How old were you when you first kissed a girl?" and Mike answered "When I was 28" (because that's when we first kissed).

Also, my BMs had bridal shower bingo, which I don't like, but it does help some of the older people get involved and have fun.

And they had a "How Well Do You Know the Bride" game, where everyone had to answer questions about me (i.e. my dress size, my favorite movie, etc.) and the person that answered the most questions, got a prize.

I just emailed my sister. If she has them saved on her computer and sends them to me, I'll definitely post them!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
