CD's for OOT bags. Overdone or too Cheesy?

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of doing a love song CD for our OOT bags. Our wedding will be a romantic trip/honeymoon/anniversary for most of our guests and each of the rooms has a CD player.

Is this overdone or too cheesy? There is no significance to any of the songs I've picked--mostly songs I'm "auditioning" for our first dance. I figure most people don't have a strictly love song CD, but then again I do have CD favors from at least 3 other weddings that I can think of.

I dont have my list with me, but these are some i've thought of

DMB santana love of my life- love that song & it has a Mexican feel
Mexico - James Taylor
I'll probably throw in some Jimmy Buffet (mom & step dad are fans)
I'm also collecting other people's romantic songs, so those will be on the play list. My guests like country so we'll have some Kenny Chesney.

Then I'll put on some of the songs we are using at the wedding. I wish I had my list with me. I'm going blank....

I think it is a great and inexpensive idea to give to your guests since most are going for a "romantic trip/honeymoon/anniversary". That is one item that I would guess most people would not bring with them but would come in handy since there will be a cd player in the room.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
