What is the best time to get married in PV when you are thinking about weather and affordability?

      i don't think those coincide....
if you want affordability, you go during rainy season.
if you want good weather, it's not as inexpensive.

we were there in february. there were no clouds, except for one day, where there were clouds for about 2 hrs. on average, each couple paid $1200 for 5 nights.

You have to go before the high season which is in December. We are getting married in November and from what I've heard the weather is pretty decent at 80 something degrees.

We went last November for our site visit and the weather was warm but not too hot.

We went with an AI and our rates from Denver arriving Friday departing Monday are almost $800 roundtrip airfare and lodging with transfers and taxes included.

We got married in October and it worked out perfectly. if anything though it was too hot! It was very affordable for our guests, perhaps that's the biggest reason we had such a big turn out.

Oh and hurricane season is from June to October as well. You may want to take that into consideration.

We were married June 2nd and it was sunny, dry, and hot. From what I recall researching April and May are still pretty inexpensive and not near as hot as June/July/August. It wasn't unbearably hot in June but rainly season starts midway through the month. Just something to consider.

As someone else said December is probably one of the more expensive times to go, but I would check with a TA to see what you would be looking at. Good luck!

My wedding will be in November. I thought about doing it in October since many hotels and airlines consider November 1 the beginning of high season in PV. I decided against October mainly because I didn't want to risk weather conditions. I really didn't want to be perspiring on my wedding day and I didn't want anyone else to either! Everyone is shelling out a decent amount to come, so I figure a little more for a better experience is worth it?? I hope!

Anyway, if you can get your guests to book airline tickets WAY in advance, costs should be okay. In my case, when tickets went on sale at Alaska Airlines (they fly non-stop from SFO), prices were $388 RT. On Mexicana (red-eye with one stop), they were $288 RT. This is for the weekend before Thanksgiving. Prices have been steadily going up since then though.

And since my date is before a holiday, I think there's less chance of an airline sale before then. Therefore, the early bird really gets the best price. Others probably have a different experience with dates not around holidays.
