Oh, haha, I just remembered way back after I signed up online to get a call to make an appointment, I did keep getting calls from the same number, over and over, at all different times of the day. One time Doug finally answered and took a message. He wrote down, "The office of David Spridal called. Is that a lawyer or something?" I was like who the F is that? We couldn't figure it out until we saw this commercial on TV for DB and I was like "Davids Bridal! Davids Bridal!" We laughed so hard!

We don't answer if we don't recognize the number anyways, we just figure if it's that important and they know us, they'll leave a message! And so far, other than to tell me a bridesmaid dress is in or something, I haven't gotten any DB related calls (that I know of!)

This has happend to me too! When I got the free trip call, it was actually left as a voicemail and I got all excited for about half a second because I had just been to a bridal fair the weekend before and they had a drawing for a legitimate free trip. I thought maybe that's what I had won UNTIL I called them back and they were like "congratualtions, you have one a free trip....all you have to do is come sit in on some presentation for FOUR hours and buy some cookware and buy something else....blah, blah, blah..." I've learned if you don't answer those numbers though, they call you about 20 times a day! I seriously had 10 missed calls while I was at work just after lunch from the same 1-800 number saying I had won something from Century 21st bridal... whatever that is! It drives me crazy!

No telemarketer calls for me, but I never answer 800 numbers. I did recieve the Mary Kay makeover offer but in the mail, and some other random wedding related stuff, but not sure it was DB or after registering at Target and BBB. The one really crappy part of DB for me so far is that they gave me the 'coupon book' but they were expired already or they expired like a month after I got my dress. I'm stopping by tonight to pick up my viel so I may ask to see if they new ones... I hope they are nice and give me one. I wanted the free shutterfly stuff and the one to Pennys.

They never did this to me, not by phone or email. I am also in Canada though, that could be why. I love my dress though and the price, so I would totally use them again, even if they called me, you know it will stop after your wedding at the latest, and the prices and selection are great IMHO.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
