April Fools Pranks

OMG last year we had a prank war between my cousin (she use to live with us) and my FI. It started by him putting saran wrap on her toilet.

She countered by replacing his precious vitamins with dog food.

He then stole her chapstick (natural ice) and removed the chapstick and molded deodorant to look like chapstick. (This was my idea and it was hysterical to watch her face after she put it on her lips.)

She then opened tuna and poured the juice all over his deodorant and placed the can in our walk in closet. OMG our clothes smelled so bad. I made them call a truce after that.

For some office pranks, we like to either remove the ball from the mouse or tape the laser so it won't work. Sometimes my desk gets reorganized too. I can't think of any more office ones.

I like Maria's to make the screen upside down. I accidentally did that one time and I freaked out because I didn't know how to fix it. I had to google it. haha

Rachel,
I am TOTALLY laughing picturing you trying to read Google upside down. I am guessing that you actually looked it up from a different desk, but the initial mental image was too funny!
I tried it here, but it wouldn't work. DANG! That would have been good for my co-worker!
At my office (a different job) desk chairs were often lowered when someone got up to go to the copier or restroom. They would come back & sit down & almost fall.
OH - someone could make some of the "motivation posters" that were in another thread (I think Morgan posted it) and put them in bathrooms, breakrooms, and such!

My FI and I work at the same company. For his 30 birthday I made posters and hung them up all over- in break rooms, by our time clocks, in the back of house. We have 1600 employees so LOTS of people saw them. FI has been in the company for 12 years so he knows a lot of people too. It was hysterical.

Here's the picture I used for the poster:

It read "here's to 30 years of filling out. Happy birthday Steve."

That poster idea reminded me of the flyer our activities committe made for a "Green Rabbit Lunch" potluck we are having on Friday. This guy was given no warning...the marketing department photo shopped green bunny ears onto the VP of Operations face. It is hilarious (I posted the photo earlier but have removed it now to protect the innocent).

haha that's great Christa. Our marketing dept is dangerous with photoshop. I saw a poor girl get her face photoshopped onto a catepillar body and they sent it out to all of our VIP guests as an invite for a slot tournament. They all call her "Jen Bug" so for the tourney they called it the "June Bug" slot tourney since it was in June. THey also made tshirts with the picture as a give away. I felt so bad for her.

My favorite prank dates from my college dorm days. Having had bathrobes disappear while showering, condoms placed over doorknobs, etc., several of us girls removed the partitions from the guys bathroom stalls - we left the doors - just took out the walls that separate one toilet from the other. So it looked normal until you opened the door and saw 5 other guys "attending to business".

Good times. Good times...

Of course, when they put them back up, they used those "only screws in" screws. Party poopers!

k so my sisters birthday is on april fools day.. I LOVE THAT>.. easy target... anyways two years ago my two newly married sisters and their husbands and the girlfriend i had just started dating a month before went down to the beach and all stayed at this beach hotel and had a bon fire on the beach... anyways. come juuuust right after midnight on april fools day i say i have an announcement and say "even though i have just known you a month.... (and i pull out a ring) i feel you are the one for me" or something like that and i drop down to my knee and pretend to propose to her (mind you she was in on it) and she pretended to be in shock and didnt say anything for the longest time... (even i was feeling anxious to see what her response would be in the pretend engagement) and the looks on my their faces was priceless.. it was like shock and curiosity and just wondering what she would say...

then we just turned to them all and said "april fools"

it was so funny...

So here are the two things I did (not even waiting for April Fools Day).

1) She came to work one day commenting she had taken the tollway for the first time, but never saw where to put the tickets in and just kept hearing all the bells & whistles going off when she drove thru the tollway lanes. So I faked a letter from the North Texas Trollway Association (yes, deliberate misspelling that was never caught by her) and had the receptionist stamp it and hand it to her. The letter said she was caught violating the toll booths and had to pay $900 in fines within 24 hours or she'd be arrested. BUT- for the month of May, the NTTA was offering a special: if she used a black marker and wrote "tolltag" on a piece of 8x11 paper and affixed this to the upper part of her front passenger window, the NTTA would take a picture of her car when she drove thru the toll booths and would just bill her monthly. But she had to act immediately to avoid arrest. Signed, Shaquita/The Imprisonment Specialist. My field technicians sent me pics of that damn paper taped to her car window. I had to call her at the end of the day and tell her to remove it so she wouldn't get busted.

2) Several months later, I decided to mess around with her again. at the time, Nextel was just starting the 2-way radio/cell phone service, and caller ID wasn't available on the text messages. So I sent her a text message that said, "low battery. remove battery and rub on hand three times." Once she did that and had the battery put back into the 2-way, I texted her again with "mmmm.... that felt good." She never did figure that one out....
Those are just wrong-Lol !! It's a good thing I work by myself as I am laughing out loud Mikki-I have tears!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
