I'm not sure either. These pics are very beautiful, makes my decision a lot harder. I love the fact that the pond gazebo is secluded but I like the ocean in the background on the beach. I think we'll decide when we get there. I also want to wear heels. I'm a heels person and can't imagine not being able to wear heals on my most important day, lol!

Another thing is I think most brides will use the beach gazebo so I don't think there will be a big rush to clear out if there's another wedding right after yours if you use the pond? What do you guys think?

I LOVED pics of the pond gazebo, it's gorgeous! BUT, I don't want my wedding pics with the purple ROR behind it! And unfortunately, even though the landscaping is absolutely gorgeous there - the background of our first kiss would've been purple rooms! rolleyes.gif So we're going with the beach instead.

I agree that the pond gazebo is really nice, love the secluded feel, but as some other ladies have mentioned, for me, the Riu in the background isn't really what I wanted.

But, if that doesn't bother you then you should go for it. The one good thing is that you aren't tied into making any final decisions until you are there.

The seclusion issue is a huge factor for me. But more importantly I need to be in heels. My girls and my mother are all heels girls too.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't have had a different backdrop but the gazebo is beautiful.

I am pretty sure you do not have to make a final decision until you get there. I was very set on the beach. The gazebo was nice on the beach but i really wanted to be on the beach near the water so we went with the bamboo arch. It was worth it to us. Also they schedule the weddings far enough apart that there is time in between. ALso someone said the white rooms behind it. In the pictures it looks white but its not. It is purple!!! just a note. ALso for our wedding on the beach they had two security guard type people standing near the site and made sure no one went behind us on the beach. Right next to us was a private beach do that helped a lot. Also when we got our pictures they took out the people, boats, and even the bouies (sp?). But we cant do that on the pictures we took on our own. But if you buy pictures don't worry there will not be anyone or anything in the pictres. I posted my pictures of the beach if you want to look. The pond gazebo was very pretty but I felt I am in Jamaica I can get married on a pond gazebo at home. Whatever you choose you will look amazing and everything will be perfect!!!!!!

You guys just made it WORSE!!! LOL. Now......I really can't decide. I'm mentally going back and forth. I don't really want to make up my mind when i get there, because i'm taking almost all of the decor down with me, so I sorta need to know which location beforehand. I think i really like the pond gazebo because it seems more formal.......and that matches our wedding......but i absolutely love how past brides looked when they were right off the water.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
