KHarrod, I'm from DC also......well not really, Maryland (PG County). I'm really at a toss up. I wanted to get married on the beach, but I don't like how open it is. Sometimes I see people in their swimsuits in the background of wedding pictures. I think that I would prefer something a bit more private and secluded. I don't know....i'm rambling on right now.

soooooo confused!!!

I'm doing the same and I like the pond gazebo for that same reason. I love that its secluded, feels very catered to you. The one downside I think is that they placed it backwards, your back drop is the hotel, if they would have placed it on the other side with the ocean in the background, or at the very least all the greenery I think it would have been nicer for pictures. But I think I'll put some sheers or a sort of fabric up - thank god the building is new and white so it's not so bad.
We will be heading to the garden and then the beach for pictures afterwards. It's all personal but I love how it's secluded. They do give you a sound system for people to hear you, just make sure you request it it shouldn't have a cost. You need the soundsystem on the beach too though, remember that when you are out in the open with the waves crashing it's a lot harder to hear.

They are okay with switching locations then? I know they had us put in our preference when we did our date request... and was wondering when we had to decide for sure. Do you think it matters at all what the other brides are doing that day (if someone has the same day)? I would assume it wouldn't... it can't take that long to change out the decorations if necessary.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
