At first, i had my heart set on having a beach gazebo, but now after I saw this picture, I'm leaning towards the pond gazebo. It looks so secluded and elegant. I don't know. What do you guys think?

I thought of it as well because it is so beautfiul. But I believe they have it set up in the grass.... and I decided I really wanted a beach wedding. It would be gorgeous though!

you stand under the gazebo and your guest will sit in chairs on the grass. I would hope that they would have a mic system so everyone can hear.

I think that I will use that gazebo also, it's beautiful. I dint want my dress to be dragging in the sand.

KHarrod, I'm from DC also......well not really, Maryland (PG County). I'm really at a toss up. I wanted to get married on the beach, but I don't like how open it is. Sometimes I see people in their swimsuits in the background of wedding pictures. I think that I would prefer something a bit more private and secluded. I don't know....i'm rambling on right now.

              soooooo confused!!!

Both gazebos are beautiful. I chose the beach gazebo and absolutely loved it. The pics came out beautifully with the ocean in the background. You don't have to decide now - you can look when you get there and tell the wc at your meeting.

I'm leaning towards the pond gazebo because we are doing a TTD at the beach with my photographer.I'm sure that after the ceremony, we will go over to the beach anyhow to get some good pictures.

I'm doing the same and I like the pond gazebo for that same reason. I love that its secluded, feels very catered to you. The one downside I think is that they placed it backwards, your back drop is the hotel, if they would have placed it on the other side with the ocean in the background, or at the very least all the greenery I think it would have been nicer for pictures. But I think I'll put some sheers or a sort of fabric up - thank god the building is new and white so it's not so bad.
We will be heading to the garden and then the beach for pictures afterwards. It's all personal but I love how it's secluded. They do give you a sound system for people to hear you, just make sure you request it it shouldn't have a cost. You need the soundsystem on the beach too though, remember that when you are out in the open with the waves crashing it's a lot harder to hear.

They are okay with switching locations then? I know they had us put in our preference when we did our date request... and was wondering when we had to decide for sure. Do you think it matters at all what the other brides are doing that day (if someone has the same day)? I would assume it wouldn't... it can't take that long to change out the decorations if necessary.
