2008 Brides - what did you spend or budget on photography?

I know this is a personal question but we are having a really hard time biting the bullet and booking a photog - I was wondering if anyone wanted to share the types of packages that they have booked and the cost..

i'm paying $1750 for 5 hours. i heard a few weeks ago my photog was raising his prices. if you want to PM me, i will give you more detailed info.

Our photographer charges us the cost of the trip plus half. Our trip is around $1700 (Canadian including tax) so $1700 plus $850 for a total of $2550. For that we get her and an assitant the entire wedding day plus a TTD shoot two days after the wedding. Her assistant is normally her husband but he can't get our wedding week off of work so she's bringing her best friend - who also happens to be a professional photographer!

Lets see, our package was just under $3000. We get:

-Engagement session and 1- 8x10 print of our choice from it (we can buy more prints if we choose, we're getting 100 wallet size to enclose in the invites for $70)

-12x12 -20 page flush mount album with 42 images (and then the background image is also a picture, but doesnt count as 1 of the 40, so we actually get more)

-$600 print credit

-box of unretouched proofs (about 500!) to do what we want with

-free photoshopping for blemishes or whatever

-6 hours

-2 photogs, him and his wife are a team, aww, how cute

-the rights to all images on a CD after one year, not sur what thats about, or how much it will cost?? but we want it!

-I feel like there is more but I can't think what?

Wow Abbie! Did that cost include the transportation/accom for both?

We are using a local photographer in Cancun and we are paying $1,600 for 8 hours of coverage plus a TTD session on another day. This also includes some prints and she uses an assistant.

We are also using a local photographer (Cancun) and paying about $800 for four hours of service.

We're using a local photog in DR and 8 hours is just shy of $2,000.
