I'm getting married in the VoF on May 14th 2011. We're using Scenic Las Vegas Weddings and having the sunset ceremony. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a company to rent a bus from to get our 40 wedding guests out to the VoF. And also if anyone has suggestions on a good restaurant to have a reception at that's either on the strip or right close to the strip. Thanks for any advice :)

Tani,

Any luck with your research? I am trying to book all the same things and I am not sure where to start! There are so many companies and I don't want the "just another Vegas" wedding feel... I am stressed! We are looking at the beginning of April 2011 and I"m hoping that it will be a good time of year!

Charterbuslimosine.com is where I'm looking at renting a bus from. They gave me a very reasonable quote. We gave up the search for a restaurant and are now planning to rent one of the entertainment suites at Mandalay Bay and bring in some catering to have a reception because we just could not get a quote from any restaurants that was reasonable.

Good luck to you Lillys7 and make sure to post if you find any good places, thanks :)

Hello,

I am hoping you can help me Pawfectchis or anyone else who may know? I am getting married in Spetember 2011 at the Valley of Fire! Both my partner and I are worried about the heat. I have been trying to figure out what time to get married to try and avoid it. I really want to have the ceremony at around 2pm, so we have time for photo's and a dinner after. We will only have 6 guests. How hot was it when you were there? Was it bareable? What time of day was your ceremony?

I appriciate any advice you can give!

Thanks

Late September isnt too bad in terms of heat, but early september is still pretty hot. The month is definitely one of the best times to visit the Vegas area, but VOF is a little warmer than the city. 11-3 is usually the hottest time of day in the late summer months. If you are getting married in late September, chances are you should be okay with the heat around 2pm. If you are getting married early September, you may want to consider pushing it back an hour or two. It will be bearable either way, but you may want to have some sort of umbrellas and water available for your guests just if it is earlier in the month.

Hi Tami;

OMG you are going to LOVE Scenic Las Vegas Weddings!   My hubby did exactly what you're doing: we got married by Scenic Las Vegas Weddings at Valley of Fire and we rented a coach bus for the rest of our guests.  (By the way, if Melissa is your photographer, you will LOVE her - she's just awesome!  I know her husband is also a photographer there too and his pics are also incredible - the company is run by Melissa and her husband which I really liked since I always prefer to support family-owned businesses)

If you're looking for a reliable bus company, I highly reccomend Canyon Coach lines.  We rented a 29 seat coach for 5.5 hours (from the Strip to Valley of Fire and back) and it cost $335 plus $35 gratuity for the driver.  These guys offer the absolute best pricing around and are very professional and on-time.   They picked u

Hi Tami,

I would love to see some of your wedding pictures.  I have booked my VOF wedding through Scenic Las Vegas Weddings for 9-23-11 at sunset.  I'm not sure who we will have for our photographer, but I would be happy with either of them.  I'm just hoping that the heat will be tolerable at 5:30pm!  How long was the limo ride?

Any tips you could give me would be great!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
