I love how you put things!

I agree! I cannot imagine my life without FI and definitely plan on spending the rest of my life with him. But things happen & people change. You just never know what life is going to throw at you. Plus, I am not a tattoo person - I do not have any (although I really like them on other people!)

I do like the idea of a tattoo under the band though. If you are not jewellery people then you can just get a simple band. It's cheaper & not as "flashy" if that's not what you're into!

My FI is left handed and insists that a ring will "get in his way." He's been wearing a test one (cheap thing I got from a shoe store) to try it out, but he whines about it all the time. He suggested getting a tattoo. I want him to do tattoo and ring but I have a feeling he is going to forget the ring all the time since it's so "itchy" and "cumbersome." I don't mind getting one too. It'd have to be small because in my profession having something too obvious would be a problem.

First off, I love the idea....second, having tattoos myself I am aware of what happens to tattoos, your hands (fingers included) and feet are two places that tattooers don't like tattooing. The reason is hands and feet get used a lot and tattoos do fade on parts that get used a lot. I got a ladybug on my hand 6 years ago and have had to get it touched up twice. I just wanted you to know that this is a possibility.

I caught shit the other day from my FI, because I inadvertantly mentioned that I leave my Ering on when I play hockey -- he wasn't keen on that. Ooops. HAHA.

Ive got tattoos and getting a ring tattooed on my finger isn't something I would personally do - however, if that's what floats your boat - go nuts.

Hmmmm. Interesting point about the fading on body parts that get used a lot. I did not know this. Will have to think about it some more.

Don't get me wrong....it's a great idea. I just know that the tattoo on my hand hurts every time I get it touched up. Just wanted to give you the heads up on what may happen. Especially if you wear a ring over the tattoo. Best of Luck with your decision.

I dont know anyone that has that. I'd get it though! haha I'd still have my real rings but I think the idea is pretty cool. I'd be nervous of it looking like crap though after a while. The smaller the tat the more smudgy it tends to look after time ya know...

Personally I don't think it's a good idea, but I'm probably not the person to ask because I don't have any tattoos! I guess with jewelry, you can always take it off or get something new if your tastes change. With tattoos, no chance of that.

We are getting the number nine in Roman numerals on our ring finger since we are both born in and getting married in September. We are nine days apart also.

And if you look at your ticker.....your date is 9 months and 9 days....I think that is what I saw.
