Thanks for the links and ideas... I think we are going with paper. I love veryone ideas, but knowing our guests they will have totes and I would rather put hte money into the goodies inside! A friend of mine used a sand bucket to hold all the OOT items, very cute, but no one knew what to do with it at the end of the week!

I totally agree! Don't worry about the bags themselves, spend the money on what goes inside them. We are just using small cellophane bags. I really wanted to give people things that they would use. So we bought personalized Koozies and chapsticks along with a small bottles of lotions.

Plus with a destination wedding planned I will need to travel with all this stuff. The easier the better!

i think theres nothing wrong with doing paper. kellys were great like katrina said.

i personally am doing plastic PVC totes, only because my FI's uncle owns a factory in mexico that makes all kinds and shapes of plastic bags, and he offered to donate them to us so we dont have to buy any. woot woot to that! to make them more wedding-y, i'm just gonna make welcome bag tags to hang off the handle like angela did.

I'm going with paper bags as well. I was informed by several guests (when I ran the idea by them) that they would prefer all things that would be consumed that weekend because they didn't want to worry about carrying a lot of stuff back. So there's no need for me to go against what the folks want :)

I received a metallic paper bag with a thank you tag with lots of food goodies at a wedding we went to as an OOT bag.

It was a surprise and much appreciated since we didn't buy any snacks.

When I looked into bags for our OOT bags, the nicer paper bags were more than the ones we used from cheaptotes.com that doubled as beach bags. They were easy to transport to Mexico since they didn't take up much space.

We paid 99 cents each and used iron on paper, but made our bag logo pretty generic.

We put our names and wedding date on a tag we tied onto them with their names handwritten on the back so we would know who to give them to.

I saw many people using them at the resort ... I don't expect people to use them afterwards, but they were nice to use for the beach, pool and shopping.

I did use white plain paper bags I bought at Michael's for the BM and parents gifts and made sticker labels for them. They also got OOTs.

The kids got paper bags with stickers I made on them as well.

The GMs got canvas drawstring bags (from JoAnn's) and they were used as well. I never got around to putting logos on theirs but they did have tags

So my advice is do what fits your budget.

People are not expecting anything like this, so anything will be a nice touch.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
