At least he sees her true colors now I guess! Yes that was dumb to put a 12k ring in a balloon but seriously - if my FI told me that I would feel SORRY for him! First of all for being such a dumbass but second b/c I would know how hard he tried to make our proposal so perfect! She sounds like a beotch! Hope he hits the road - and if enough publicity gets out about this maybe someone will find his ring/balloon and return it - hey it COULD happen right!

Sorry, I have an obsession with getting to the bottom of the whole karma thing.
Actually, I only had 1 karma at my "high". :) I'm curious about the karma too! I thought maybe it was "x" amount of reputation points = 1 karma, but I never found any proof of that.

When we outed someone's "true" identity awhile back- I decided to steal her points to screw with her, but it took the amount of points she had away from me and reset my karma to 0.

It used to be that Catherine and I were the only ones who had tried to thieve from a user, but damn- I just looked at the list, and there's now like 35 attempts (most unsuccessful, but a small number of successes)...

Wow, words can't even express how bad that sucks.

For some reason though I was under the assumption that a ring was insured for 30 days after it's purchased under the jewelry stores policy. I could be totally wrong though or perhaps "Stupidity" is not a covered loss.

We went crazy thiefing to see how it works (not well). Then we realized we lost our karma. I tested the x reps = 1 karma, but it didn't work. I had 3 reps & 3 karma. Then I got 50 reps & I have 4 karma. Currently I think karma has to do with how long you are a member and probably other stuff. I saw someone with a lot of karma & not a lot of posts, but they joined a long time back. Seeing your 0 karma confused me, but now that I know about the point stealing it makes sense.

I had a big discovery yesterday. When you post a template & someone downloads it, you get the 50 points the lose.

Someday I will know all the secrets of the forum.

Wow--- that totally explains why I've gone thru some serious jumps! I had a bunch of "template" type things out there for making logos, budgeting, and resort comparisons. :)

Here's something to help you on the quest for knowledge--- wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
