Any opinions with Half Moon/Rose Hall Resort??

Hi -- I saw you are getting married at Rose Hall.. I am going to visit there in June. I am planning on a June 2009 Wedding..the place looks great. Is the pricing reasonable? Do you know how much it is per person for the all inclusive package and an estimate price per person for the wedding reception?

 

I have been stressing lately over all of this!!

Hey there... sounds like you guys finally decided against Cabo...

 

Half Moon? I 'm doing a wedding there May 25th... I'll let you know how it goes...

For the pricing, I think it's all relative ... it's chaper than the half moon and the ritz but more expensive than a lower grade resort ... such as the Breezes. For the reception, I am paying about 60/person but depending on your menu, the cost may be higher or lower. All inclusive per night is 249/night for the cheapest room and it goes up from there. If you go on their website - Montego Bay Jamaica Resorts and All-Inclusive Beach Hotels - Rose Hall Resort and Country Club -- click on the Weddings link on the top right corner of the page -- then in the weddings page, click on wedding package and catalog - the file will show different options and some of the prices ... I will make sure to post pictures when I come back and will be able to tell you if it's worth every cent I am spending there on my wedding ...

I LOVE JAMAICA AND STAYED AT STARFISH TRALAWNEY THE FIRST TIME WAS FUN BUT I WOULDNT GET MARRIED THERE NOW AS THERE ARE LOTS OF OTHER PLACES TO GO ON THE ISLAND.I STAYED AT WYNDHAM ROSE HALL AND HAD I NICE HOLIDAY ALTHOUGH I FOUND IT A LITTLE STUFFY.WE NORMALLY MAKE LOTS OF FRIENDS WHILST ON HOLIDAY BUT NO ONE WANTED TO CHAT AND KEPT THEMSELVES TO THEM SELVES.IT WAS ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO.YOU MUST DO SOME TRIPS Y S FALLS ARE SPECTACULAR NOT SO COMMERCIAL AS DUNNS RIVER.BARTOR BARTOR BARTOR OTHERWISE YOULL HAVE SPEND A FORTUNE .IM SMILING A COUPLE THAT MET US AND WERE WITNESSES AT OUR WEDDING at( STARFISH TRAWLAWNY) WENT TO THE MARKET AND SPENT OVER £70.00 ON ASHTRAYS AND WOODEN CRAP THAT YOU BUY ON HOLIDAY AND STUFF IN THE BACK OF YOUR CUPBOARD OR GIVE TO YOUR NAN.!!!!.WE SAW ONE WEDDING AT ROSE HALL IT WAS UNDER THE GAZEBO UP HIGH LOOKING OVER THE OCEAN AWAY FROM JO PUBLIC.LOVELY SETTING.ID JUST LIKE TO ADD THAT THERE WERE LOTS OF PEOPLE ON BUISNESS.OUR ROOM WAS STANDARD BUT NICE LOOKED OVER THE GARDEN TO THE SIDE FANTASTIC SLIDES IN THE POOL YOU DONT NEED TO BE A CHILD TO HAVE FUN.NOT SURE IF THE ENTERTAINMENT WAS THAT GREAT.ALTHOUGH WTH THE TIME DIFFERENCE HERE AND THERE WE WERE UP AT 5.30 EVERY MORNING SO WERE READY FOR BED QUITE EARLY SOMEONE ELSE MAY BE A BETTER JUDGE.THE HOTEL WAS WELL CARED THEN FOR SO WITH A MAKE OVER IT MUST BE GREATTT
